"Oh alright" It was hard to see that there was more than meets the eye here but it was obvious the receptionist wasnt give up any more details. "Well, I think im gonna head to my room, yall will let me know when the foods ready then?" Beryl picked up his back and felt another chill run down his spine.

[Radio]

Calixso takes a mental note of everything written in the journal as it seems to be something of importance to him before rejoining Attono at the bell tower.

[Grovygrunge]

Addison stared at the ominous footprints for a few moments. I think, I probably...should not try to follow these suspicious foot print...but I'm gonna. Addison followed after footsteps, he looked around to make sure he was actually alone every couple of seconds.

[Angder]

Looking up the bell tower, Devareaux could just see what looks like a robed figure, almost looking like a priest or monk, he or she appeared to be looking down at the two of you, unmoving.

The wolf at reception nods, hearing Beryl's words. "Father should be up soon with it... I... I hope your room is pleasant..." she turns away. "I need to go talk to father about something..."

You follow the footprints, and it eventually goes behind a bookcase at the back of the library. The other three pairs seem to go to a door, and enter into it, the one near you went to the door, but you have no idea if he went inside or not. You suspect not. you notice the lock on the door is broken. Beyond is a small room  the shelves are broken and empty, but there is a whole set of old books on the desk, they look old, and appear to be unmarked. Finally there is a safe in the corner, it's open and empty. There is not much dust in this room.

[Winter98]

"Hello?" He called up to the hooded figure looking down at the two of them. He climbed up the stairs "sir? Or, ma'am?"

[Grovygrunge]

Addison followed the footprints and stopped at the door, noting that the lock had been broken somehow. Oh...That's good... He gulped and took a deep breath as he entered the room. His eyes were instantly drawn to the unmarked, old books on the desk. No markings? Why? He slowly opened on of the books to the first page.

[kalan]

Beryl makes his way up to his room and finds it as he had expected. "Its a place to get some rest I suppose" he said to himself. He had done most of his trip on foot and enjoyed takkng tim to rest from his backpacking adventure.

[Radio]

*Calixso's body tenses as he spots the hooded figure standing in silence above them. He stays on guard in case anything happens;Trying not to display signs of anxiety*

[Angder]

When Devareaux reaches the top of the tower the figure is gone. Which by conventional wisdom is impossible. There is no other way out of the tower... climbing down the tower without climbing equipment would be impossible.

From the bottom of the tower it looks like the figure moves back slightly and moves out of sight... but there is something... wrong with his legs... as he moves rips seem to appear in the bottom of the robes as he moves, and through those rips you can not actually see his legs...

Addison looks into the book, and is disappointed to find its in latin, however someone has left a note in English on the first page.

//This book is pure fiction. Creature referenced is different from IB's but has the same basic concept... Inspired by it perhaps? limited usefulness//

moving on to the next one, you find it labeled as: African Myths for the modern man (published 1924).

There is a note in this one also:
//Page 16... Its exactly the creature described! Capable of Doing what we need! IB will live!//
The page in question is ripped out, obviously whoever was here last ripped the page out and took it with them...

A few minutes later There is a knocking at Beryl's door, Edward Drake, a large male wolf, yells into the room. "food is ready!"

[Winter98]

Devareaux rushes back down the tower and heads outside, looking for the figure. "There's something wrong with this town.." he shook his head and went back inside "hey, uh.. calyxso, or whatever your name was. You see anything moving about outside?"

[kalan]

Beryls moves to the door just as his stomach begins to growl. Perfect timing he thinks to himself. He opens the door to see a large wolf standing outside. "Ah thak you"

[Radio]

"As far as I'm aware, I have seen no such things. What did you find?"

[Winter98]

"Something was watching us.. and when i got up there, it was gone."

[Radio]

"Something? What do you mean something?"

*Calixso tilts his head slightly confused*

"It wasn't a person.. whatever it was was gone when i got up there.."
