Starprism (Prologue: Setting and Characters)

"There are some who walk the path of the hero, and others of the villain. Both share the same blood-soaked road."

Setting: Modern day Earth, but this Earth is one where people and anthros live in a forced peace. This Earth also houses an abundance of magical energy. Most anthros have the ability to use magic, while most humans do not.

Characters:

Thymearo - Child of the Light

Thymearo is a white mouse who wears a blue button suit. The buttons are styled like a chef's uniform with them being on the left side. He wears a thin, black belt that makes the suit end in a skirt. His pants are the same color as the shirt. Lastly, Thymearo wears black books.

Korren - Teacher of the Dark

Korren is a raccoon. He wears a large, open, gray trench coat and a grey fedora. His muzzle is white with a black line and his face is black with a white line. Korren's tail pattern is white with black rings.

Prologue:

Lightning streaks across a purple night sky. Deep in the forest, the gales of wind sway even the tallest trees. Thymearo stands in the midst, sensing nothing but danger all around him. The storm then becomes violent. Wind toppling trees, lighting striking the ground, starting fires. Thymearo's only emotion was pure terror. The world was ending right before his eyes. An earthquake occurs right beneath his feet. It tears at the ground, creating deep cracks and trenches. Just then, everything stops and the land becomes pitch black. A red light shines down from the sky in the form of a blood-red sun. Thymearo stares towards the sun, and sees nothing but an unblinking, red eye. The light it casts becomes brighter. It envelopes the entire Earth and touches every corner, every shadow, consuming all and sparing no one. Giving no mercy.

Thymearo lurches out of bed, gasping for breath. His sheets and pillow damp with sweat. He turns his head and looks out the window, he sees nothing but a peaceful, moonlit sky with many bright stars. "Just a dream", he says, relieved. He lays back down and closes his eyes.

Just a dream.
