Ray had slept outside the hospital, underneath a bench. He had nothing to keep him warm during the night, especially because he had no shirt, and frost clung to his fur. Ray tried to warm himself, and stepped into the hospital, surprised that the police hadn't come for him.

Zanthe had slept inside the hospital in the waiting room, and was just waking up as Ray walked in. Standing, the catfox quickly unbuttoned her borrowed shirt and removed it, draping it over Ray's shoulders. "How are you doing?" she said, rubbing the back of her head. Her upper abdomen was bandaged.
