Ruby frowned and realized maybe should cut the the attitude.
Sierra began looking around to find said notes.
Zanthe shrugged. "Who's to say?" she murmured. "For all we know, you may have actually saved my life... Ironic as that may seem." The catfox absentmindedly touched her healing abdomen.
Cifero examined his abdomen a touch longer, sheathing the knife and probing the area. "Well, it's definitely not all too serious for me," he said, cocking an eyebrow. "This is just a surface wound, and there's no evidence of internal damage... Still, this hasn't happened to me before. Usually when we switch, all injuries are healed... excluding scars." The crat gently felt the small hole in the upper rim of his navel, where he usually had a piercing. "Any luck with the notes?"
Some pages had bloodstains on them, and were hastily scrawled.
After a little bit, Cassy walked over with a tray that contained a couple of sandwiches, some small bags of chips, and two bottles of water. "They haven't gone shopping recently, but I suppose this will work just fine," the crat girl murmured, placing the tray down on the coffee table. "Here... this one's yours." She pushed one of the plates towards Ruby, then picked her own sandwich up and began eating quietly after a silent prayer.
