FTL Training RP. [DEAD]

((Quick thing: this is a training RP, I want each post to be dissected and analyzed))

((don't analyze this post, its just an excuse to start this RP. start the analysis with the next post please.))

The Rebel fleet is on your tail, soon the federation will fall, and only a single ship stands in its way...



The Kestrel. It has information that could destroy the Rebel fleet, we just need to get it through 8 sectors, and then we can save the federation.

Armed with a burst laser and a rocket launcher, it will take wits and courage, and a lot of luck, to reach our goal.

Also if you don't know FTL, don't worry, you can still join, the universe is fairly straight forward. though it is best if your a normal fur in that case.

Background (optional): Xander had always been bored on his home planet and wanted to leave. At least that's the story he tells everyone, the fact he won't ever say where he is actually from or mention his past beyond that makes people question it.

((Welcome aboard, I will point out that as a mechanical lifeform you COULD be a wolf Engi or a Fox Engi, (Having a similar shape and such) though a "Standard" Engi is fine if thats what you want to be.))

((Lets get started.))


Angder sits in his seat, Ready to pilot the ship, he turns on each system, one by one. "Shields... online. Engines... Online, You should have control now fluffy. Our weapons up? CHECK."

Angder grins. The Kestrel was a fine ship. A little small for the task ahead, but that was not a big deal. "MARITE. I am about to launch." he yells over the intercom. "Xander... make sure the weapons are ready." Angder straps in, and reaches for the lever to launch the ship.These were the best people the federation still had, and the information they carried was vital, they needed to get it to the main fleet. How hard could it be? Angder begins to pull the lever towards him, powering up the engines.

-"Who?!" Marite asked-

[Angder]

((oh bugger  Fixed. I screwed up FAST))

[Obey138 (Matthew "Fluffy")]

"Engines' state normal, ready to go." Marite replied, ready for the jump

[Grovygrunge]

Xander yelled back over the comms, his voice filled with biting sarcasm. "Oh yeah, I'll get right on that, just how though I don't know. You see, we don't have a weapons pre-ignition system so the weapons will just need prepping all over again once we jump. Or had you forgotten that?"

[Angder]

Angder snarls. "we don't!? I thought this was meant to be the best ship we had!?" Angder snarls again. "We don't have time to worry now. We will have to make do."

The ship begins to rumble, and the engines start up, they lift from the shipyard, and slowly power up the sublight engines. As soon as they are at a safe distance, Angder starts the FTL engine. "OK... first jump..." The ship accelerates, and in an instant, they are at the next beacon.

The area seems quiet, there is a planet not far from here that probably has a colony on it. Angder checks the scanners... something was hiding on a nearby moon. "Hey... err, Marite, pause the engines a moment, and Xander, head down to the scanners, I think someone is watching us."

[Obey138 (Matthew "Fluffy")]

"You can do it remotely, forgot that? FTL not charged up yet." Marite replied, being slightly mad, while disabling the engines.

[Grovygrunge]

Xander set the weapons to charge automatically, it was slower but it was better than the alternative of being caught with our pants down and no way of defending ourselves. He quickly ran through the shields room and into the sensors room, sensors controls and viewing what was on screen. "checking around...

[Angder]

The planet had some kind of base on it, an observation base of some kind... Angder examines the readout. "Oh **censor**... not so soon..." Angder swears. "Ok... Its a scouting outpost, I don't know who mans it... The easiest thing to do would be to just destroy it... but it might be a friendly..." Angder sighs... "We are going to have to hail them, find out who they are."

[Obey138 (Matthew "Fluffy")]

"Why don't just leave 'em?" Marite asked, curiously. "I don't think they detected us yet."

[Grovygrunge]

"Aye, I think we should probably leave the talking to you then. Want me to stay on sensors or should I run back to weapons and make sure they're primed and ready if this goes bad?" Xander glanced down the hallways anxiously, ready to bolt down it at a moments notice.
