1. My first experience with all of this was from Twokinds, a webcomic by Tom Fischbach, the brother of Markiplier. I was young, and failed to see the massive amount of suggestive content, so after several years I moved away from it and started reading the mythological webcomic Skin Deep by Kory Bing. In March of this year I became a participant in the community by coming here. During my time here I have met many people, and I expect to see more of the amazingly creative and accepting community found here.
2. Probably 80 to 90% of furry art is suggestive. Google would have no problem validating that.
3. I am normal as could be for a person of my age. I have made friends who I value greatly through this site, and we have normal discussions like anybody else would in another situation.
4. Yes they have. In fact, one of my non-furry friends is making use of the forums, and hopes to join an RP just for the writing experience. He gets along fine with the people here, and is now another part of the group I chat with regularly.
5. I don't "come out of the closet" about all this. At least, not to people I know in real life. There is no reason, and the general impression of furries is very corrupted by the internet. Rumors spread, and the toxicity of people can become a liability.
6. I don't get otherkins. That's just me. If you feel that you have a spiritual connection to an animal, defined as Therianism, fine by me. However, I have a mixed opinion about people who actually consider themselves to be animals.
7. I RP sometimes, mainly treating it as a writing prompt. I enjoy writing in a variety of scenarios, as well as the feeling of freedom allowed by not only being able to decide apparel and the typical traits found in literature, but also the species of a character that allows another level of creativity. I guess that goes into why people have fursonas, which I would be willing to go in-depth at your request.
If you have any more questions, I would be glad to answer them.
