Is this normal for a furry?
« on: September 09, 2015, 08:41:35 PM »
*snuffles*
Hi guys x3 So, I've gathered that this MAY be normal for a furry, but I'm still unsure......  :?

Is it normal for a furry to want to wear their tail, colored contacts and collar at all times? Like, not actually do it, but wish you could? And also, is it normal to act like your fursona animal? Like purr, bark, etc.?

Thank you!  XD

If I nuzzle your neck, I give you my trust.

For A, it's uncommon, but not judged. B, that's an otherkin thing, which goes hand-in-hand with being a furry anyway.

Are you sure that you are not a therian?

I've actually looked into being a therian/otherkin....... and I think I may be one, and honestly that's the whole reason I posted this thread. I wanted to know if I was just a furry or something else..... I'm going to look deeper into this, but thank you both  :)

Okie dokie. So I looked into it, and I believe I am a furry/Animal-hearted. Thank you for your help!  ^_^

Not very uncommon but it's like a phase thing for most people. Generally the every furry seems to follow a same pattern

  1. The High: You've just gotten introduced into the fandom, everything is amazing and you want to jump head first into doing all the things. Wear the collars, get the fursuits, just do everything you can do cause you love it so much and you want to get really involved and everything is amazing~
  2. The Low: So things didn't quite turn out as you expected. Drama happened and people are starting to seem funny, maybe the fandom isn't for you? Maybe you should just leave or at least distance yourself a little bit
  3. The equilibrium: The fandom isn't amazing but it's still good. I want to stay in it, and I want it as a hobby, I want to meet awesome friends. I'm a furry, but I'm not super into it, but I'm happy to say I'm in the fandom!

Some people get stuck one 1. and some people get stuck on 2. but I think most furries go all the way to 3. and stay there

I think I went straight from 1 to 3 over the course of my first three or four months here. Not to the extremes that Anoni described though.

While I normally would agree with you, I've been a furry for about a year now, and the feeling hasn't changed..... so yeah.

I been one 1 though I don't have the money to get item that allow me to let my fur out but I do have my collar...lol. But beside that....I probably on 3 not by choice though.

But I think there a 4 which I might be in as it mix between the 1 and 3. I believe it while you want to let your true feel/self out but can't due to many reason such as money...area...friend group or family...fear. As I think it for the fur that probably been a fur for long while and still loving the deep end but can't swim well per say.

It has been a while since we had a therian. I have some questions to ask you eventually, if that's okay with you.
