A gang of canine furries roam the streets of a small town in the day and the forests surrounding the city at night. The members are furries with a story to tell, those who don't fit in with the rest of society because of their past actions, their broken hearts, or their family issues. The gang is like a support group, they comfort each other and run together as an escape, one that won't damage their bodies like a drug would.

The gang has strict rules set in place and it functions similar to a pack. There is a leader, but they plan events and help keep the pack organized. The gang is like a family, in sync with each other and their emotions. But like any family, there are bouts and disagreements.

Each full moon, they gather to share their thoughts and musings. Whether they are recovering from their past, have visited the people who once hurt them or vice versa, and just to talk and strengthen their bonds.


Furries are permitted to leave the gang but they are sworn not to inform anyone who else is in it or their personal life. If a furry dies or gets killed, the members will hold a service of remembrance and a silent vigil.

The gang has no name to outsiders, but to members, it is simply known as Haven.

•Rules•

These are just to keep things smooth.

• No overpowering, meaning no furries with strong fantasy elements. Wings and stuff is fine, just no powers like controlling fire or reading minds.

• No random chat. That's what PMs are for.

• Each player is permitted two characters max.

• Your character must have a sad/tragic past, just have lots of details and don't make it super cheesy.

• Canines ONLY.

• If the artwork you use for your character is not yours, credit it!

• Minimum of three sentences, which includes speech.

• Roleplay in third person. (he, she, they)

• Proper English is STRONGLY PREFERRED but not necessary. I might get annoyed if it's really bad tho.

Oh that's quite alright I was just wondering as it will help me in making a backstory.
Name: Rogue (nickname)

Species: Dingo/Husky
Image Description: Tanish color, medium length fur, white tipped curly tail, white belly, white "mask" marking, light brown eyes, normally wears a hat and jacket of some kind
Personality: Not to friendly to outsiders, tomboy, adventurous, stealthy and agile, loves kids, intelligent
Backstory: Rogues mother died when she was twelve. Her mother was one of the kindest canines you would ever meet. She was a dingo, while Rogue's father was a black husky. Her mother worked in a children's bookstore because she loved children and loved to read. One day a man came in the store when her mother was alone and killed her so that he could rob the place. Her family had always been fairly poor, so once her mother died they had even more money troubles. These events caused Rogue's father to be depressed, he hardly talked to Rogue or her young sister Caralee. Rogue loved kids thanks to her mother's kindness so she would take care of Caralee. When Rogue turned fifteen she dropped out of school to find a job. Hardships had hardened her father and turned him into a cold and unfriendly man. One day while Rogue was working, her father became very angry with Caralee and ended up suffocating her out of frustration. He was so mad at who he had become that he took his life. Rogue came home to find the tragedy which left her broken, alone, bitter, and on the streets. This was when she discovered the group who took her in. She quit her job and turned to robbing the rich to feed her and her newfound gang of friends

Personality, traits, mannerisms: (Be descriptive!!) She's very laid back, aloof, and distant towards outsiders. She can be very sarcastic and rough-mannered but she knows when not to be. However, she can come off as rude or intimidating. She is very good at judging character, and has sort of a sixth sense when it comes to detecting hidden emotion or tension. Also a very good lie detector. Azzi tends to be very emotional. She laughs so hard tears come out of her eyes but she's very sensitive and prone to crying if someone is pissed at her. She is usually relaxed and rarely gets seriously angry.

Backstory: (again, details please!) Her mother had been at a party, drunk when she met Azzi's father. When her father found out her mother was pregnant, he wanted to keep Azzi, but her mother didn't. She reluctantly  gave in after her first ultrasound. However, Azzi's father had multiple affairs over the course of four years, unknown to her mother. When she found out, she believed it her child was the reason he cheated, that he didn't want to take responsibility and neither did she. Azzi suffered much emotional and verbal abuse from her mother, even some fits of slapping or sever punishment for the smallest of mistakes. Azzi's father had disappeared with another woman when she was seven, and on her thirteenth birthday she ran away, fed up with her mother. She lived  in alleyways, abandoned buildings, and other temporary shelters, stealing from charity stores and markets to clothe and feed herself. She discovered Haven after she begged the former leader for a place to stay when she was 17.

Body description: about average for 5'11.
Personality: Stubborn, realistic, and a very short fuse. She's incredibly loyal to her friends, and will always go down swinging. She's the first to admit she's wrong if proven. Very strong willed and sometimes energetic. At first glance, she's hard to figure out. Almost like two different people. Towards some she's an angel, to others she's a monster. She can sometimes come off as a cold expressionless monster, but it's only to keep herself safe. She finds it hard to trust people at first.




Backstory: As an 17 girl in high school, she was raised in what seemed a normal family ever since she was young. A loving mother, a hardworking father, and an apartment in the city. But there was something she never spoke of. That is the passing of her younger 11 year old sister one year ago, Allison. Dad worked a little too hard and was rarely home. Mom drank a bit too much. Zoey was too distracted and was failing school. Mom would fight dad a lot. Zoey always tried to blur what was happening by listening to Slayer In her room. Things would get broken, people would get hurt, and then came divorce. The last year of high school was spent alone. Just her and her anger. Anger at her father for always working, and her mother for always being a drunk. She became emotionally shelled, allowing nothing to crawl under her skin. She became as though she were stone. Cold, expressionless to most, stone. Only her closest friends know what her smile looks like. After all of the hurt, Zoey had enough and headed out the door when she graduated high school. She hasn't spoken to her father in almost a year. This was her new beginning. Living on the streets and working odd jobs to pay for what eventually led to an part end of her own. Luckily her mom didn't spend ALL of Zoey's bank account on expensive booze. She was off the streets in almost a months time. But the lessons and hardship followed her from street to home. Now she seeks refuge in like minded people. People who understand real pain, and not the "pain" of not getting the latest phone. Now at the age of 18, she makes every day count by working hard and surviving.

Name: Al "The bloody" El-Kina
Gender: Male

Age:  28

Species/breed: A hybrid mix between a monkey, eagle, wolf and fox.

Body Description: His fur is black from top to bottom. His general body resembles a wolf more than anything really. His back is slightly hunched forward due to his monkey genes, and his eagle genes give him small wings on his back which he can glide short distances with. As for his body itself, he's fairly muscular, but looks more toned than anything else. He has a clear 6-pack, strong arm and leg muscles, as well as back muscles. His front and back are riddled with slightly faded scars.

Personality, traits, mannerisms: He's cool and collected on the outside, but always bottles up his true emotions. He's also biased to use violence as a solution to his problems having been raised a fighter and an assassin. He also doesn't tend to make a lot of small talk, due to a mixture of having his tongue cut out (which got replaced my a voice module) and his somewhat anti-social personality. Al hates to admit it, but he really is a softy towards those he cares about, and he is willing to give a lot to protect them, going as far as to risk his life if need be. He's also fairly creative, wise (to a certain degree), quick-thinking and he can have a sharp tongue at times.

Backstory: The "El-Kina" family were a large group of assassins, fighters and mercenaries, expanding across multiple countries and taking up various tasks they were hired to do. Al, was no exception. He was bred in a specific way to give him an edge it battle, but was the only one of his breed to have actually had a successful birth. From the day he was able to talk, he was taught how to fight. Years passed, about 20 to be exact, and he was now a fully bred killer. Against his will, he had his left eye replaced with a mechanical one, as well as an implant in his brain, both of which allowed him to process information faster than the average fur, effectively allowing him to "see faster." After Al's 24th birthday was celebrated, disaster struck. They were attacked by a rival mercenary group, and a larger majority of the family was slain. Including Al's brother, 2 sisters, mother and father. Al himself was captured and tortured for information. After they thought they were done with him, they cut out his tongue and continued to whip him, until eventually, Al broke out. Arming himself to the teeth with various weapons (all of which you can see in my signature under "Al's weaponry), he began freelancing, taking up any job he could to support himself. Al himself is a perfect representation of his past. A ruthless, and remorseless killer, engineered to accomplish any task, no matter the cost. He eventually found sanctum within the group known as Haven, and he now takes up jobs simply to support the others and keep everyone well fed

Anything else?: Below is a list of Al's "Powers" and "feats"

1. Al's mechanical eye and neural implant give him abilities expanding beyond that of what a normal fur could accomplish. Specifically, they allow him to process visual information faster than that of a normal person. They also have 4 modes, which each bring different upsides.

• Normal mode: His left eye is blue for this mode. He's nothing more than an average fur, besides his already above-average self
• Inspect mode: His left eye is red for this mode. He begins processing information about 1.25x faster than the average fur, and his neural implant begins storing information for later use
• Battle mode: His left eye is black for this mode. He boosts to processing information about 2x faster than the average fur, and his neural implant stimulates certain areas of his brain to cause an increase in adrenaline in his system
• Overlock mode: His left eye is black and bloodshot for this mode. He boosts to processing information about 5x faster than the average fur, and his neural implant stimulates the brain to work faster itself. Al can only use this mode for about 6 minutes before his brain starts to get fatigued, or either one of his implants begin to get damaged and revert to normal mode.

2. Al is capable of bench-pressing 220kg (note that the current world record is about 375kg)

3. Al has killed various people, and taken down entire battalions of men on his own. He's only lost 3 one on one duels with another fur.

4. Al has mastered 5 different fighting styles including Kung Fu and S.C.A.R.S

5. The mechanical eye is only capable of locking onto one target at a time, and as such, Al has trouble taking down multiple competent fighters. When it comes to average thugs and the such, Al has no trouble dispatching large groups of them.

6. Al is usually donning nothing more than a black kimono, a red mask which covers his face ((See "Al's badass mask") and his underwear. His weapons are strapped to various parts of his kimono

Body Description: Not ripped but not exactly fat either . A very average build. Silver fur and a giant X scar on his chest

Personality, traits, mannerisms: Is normally quite calm but uses sarcasm as somewhat of a defense mechanism. He can be very cold at first but it doesn't take to long to warm up to him it being his main weakness.

Backstory: Was born into a different gang but one a lot more viscous. His farther , the leader was specifically tough on him, beating him and his now dead mother and brother. One night he snapped and striked back at his farther. That is where he got his mark from, his farther. He then left. Going from city to city until he eventually found Haven.

Anything else?: he has to specialised guns (in signature props to zarc) and has a decent knowledge of kickboxing.
He wears a black vest, black jeans, black shoes and a baige trench coat .
Visits mothers and brothers graves on Sunday's thus he isn't there most of the time on the day.

Russell is fairly solemn, but he has a kind heart and he enjoys the company of his gang. He thinks of himself as a father, a brother, and a friend to his pack and that relationship means the world to him. He can seem distant and cold but he does look after the new members of Haven. However, he is easily frustrated and tends to over-analyze, and he is a bit of a perfectionist.

Backstory: (again, details please!) He doesn't remember a thing about his fsmily, it seems like he's been alone since the day he opened his eyes as a puppy. He has traveled to many places and different families have taken him in, his earliest fatherly figure was a gruff badger who taught him how to gather different plants to eat and how to kill smaller feral animals like rodents. He went wherever the wind took him, never staying in one place for too long and not having any more romance than a hookup or a few dates. But he met a lovely Sheltie, but even though her parents couldn't allow her to marry 'street trash', they felt enough like they were married. They both decided to have a child but after trying for a year, the Sheltie had turned out to be unable to have a child.

This put a lot of strain on their relationship, and Russ decided it would be best to let her go. They couldn't bear to see each other in pain.

Russell found Haven soon after, with a different leader who resigned two years later and chose Russ to be the next leader, because of his kindness and smarts.

He enters the diner and orders his food, a chicken and Mayo sandwhich. He doesn't come here because he wants to, it's because it's the only place he can*

He gets back onto the streets through the alleyway, and just walks down the street*
