It could not be seen by any normal person, but a translucent figure, an antelope child, floated its way toward Geoffrey.
Geoff looked up. "Oh, h-hi, Darren..."
The ghost bowed his head and smiled softly, then sat down beside the bear.
Geoff sensed the child's concern of his sadness. His gaze fell back to the floor.
"I don't know what to do," he mumbled to the kid. "I promised myself I wouldn't thieve anymore, b-but business is too slow lately. I don't think I have a choice... b-but it's just not right... and if I'm caught..."
