June 26, 2013 edit: Holy wow. This thing has grown. It's pretty scary to look at this and say, "Wow, I wrote this five years ago and today I'm an entirely different person, and yet, I still remember it as if it were yesterday." It really makes me sit back and think, you know? Like, just coming back and reading this fired off a whole bunch of memories from years ago that had long since been buried by more recent events.
And looking back at my posts, I realize how immature I was. It's actually kind of embarrassing to read through, so much so that I can't even read through all of my posts. It's a bad reflection on me, but anyone who checks the dates will hopefully realize that it's been many years since I put up this post and that I've matured since then.
I actually considered going through and removing all of my posts out of sheer shame, but realized I could find pride instead. Pride in the fact that I've come so far from when I first joined in 2007.
I know it sounds really silly and a lot of you probably won't understand it, but it makes me feel slightly proud to say that I brought to life those 6,865+ pages of people's enjoyment, even if a lot of it is silly, repetitious, or down-right ridiculous, some might even consider it "stupid", and it's possible that with some of the things contained within this thread, I might agree. But I'm not here to judge. Especially not within an environment I personally created for others to enjoy themselves free from that judgement.
And maybe one day, some of you will come back here and look at your old posts and have a moment like I'm having now, realizing just how different of a person you were back then, and smiling to yourself when you realize, "Wow, I made it. I grew up. I'm an adult now."
I know that most likely nobody is going to ever read this, but I just thought I'd put this here for the aimless wanderer who stumbles across the first page through the wasteland of havoc that make up the content of The Random Thread. Regardless, I hope you all enjoy yourselves here, and please, no drama. I created this thread with the intention of giving others a place to relax and have fun, to let the stress of the day fade away.
So with that said, I want to reiterate, I ask that you please don't disrespect me and defile the small amount of pride this thread brings me by creating unnecessary drama.
I don't check this thread anymore, but the mods and/or admins certainly do.
Behave yourselves kiddies, on mine AND your behalf.
