I've never seen Microsoft word request or force update, it'll request to me if it's activated as a process to click update etc if I recall but for it to be open and force updates jeopardises the ability to continue typing the file mid use. What version do you have?

I haven't gamed in years and when I'd lose a game I wouldn't get upset, it's only a game after all, a source of recreation not life, no one died... Unlike in certain parts of the world, well, now that is something to be upset about. Poor tortured human children and animals.

This is why the save function is your friend! I always have it on autosave, and I save it myself when I complete an objective before AND after I get the reward.
