So glad my country doesn't substitute sugar with high fructose corn syrup. What does that mean? It's less likely for me to get diabetes down to my body knowing how to process the sugar.

Americans live by cheapening the process in any way possible, while getting the same profits. A bit of collateral damage never slowed the US down.

It's "cool" to hate the US. Not saying the country doesn't have issues, it MOST DEFINITELY does. But even with all it's flaws, people still feel the need to nitpick every tiny thing about it, or even twist information to make it appear like the US is even worse than it really is. Isn't there enough obvious bullshit in this country to complain about?

i dont hate the us i think we are to drive by the power of a high class, almost like the old aristocracy of the european empires, and that we need to be more active and better led. also the usa is very behind the times, still out on gay marriage and using a nonstandard system of measurements. we are not changing when we should be, our founding documents are hundreds of years old, and now we are just letting this disaster happen. where is the unilateral disarmament e could lead? why arent be being more active?

The day there is unilateral disarmament is the day a developing country sounds better, before that happens though will be the secession of several states once again. It's not happening in my lifetime.

The British, for example, still use their imperial measurements as well as the metric system. I don't get why people get pissy about the US still using ours.

Despite what many people think, US schools DO teach the metric system, and it IS used. We learn it before, or at least during, middle school (unless it's a bad school district--oh hey, THERE'S something legitimate to pick at!). It's used for science and engineering, usually.

A long time ago, some french guys made a metric clock, but it never caught on.
at least you'd be able to say "lol it's satan o'clock" when it hits 6:66

It's interesting how, in the past, 12 was considered this super-duper-magically-special number, and EVERYTHING had to be based around it. Now the super-duper-magically-special number is 10.

Metric clock! So that means a "metute" would be 100 seconds? I'm wondering what the day would become after everything is all considered.

I imagine it would be very difficult to adjust everything to a metric clock. No wonder it didn't take off.
