If you mean you've seen many broad and diverse areas of furry not involving content of the unspeakable category, and you use logic to determine that means that it is only a small number, then I guess that works for a surface demographic, which I will have you know, can be rather inaccurate. Please do not think I am hating on furries. Just understand that if we can identify the problem, we can solve it.

Funny story this video is how I came to the furry fandom 

This was a great video. It shed light on it. Yes, it was a little odd in some parts, but it's nice to know that only really 37% are in it for the explicit material.
I myself am not furry due to cartoons, but, well, I don't really know. Just a huge appreciation of huskies? And the fact I feel I relate to them. And by chance seeing furry art and being like, woah, this is awesome! And realising that my personality is combined of both huskies, and humans. Sorry to go on, but this is kind of a literary analysis for me.

The real question is why it's of any concern to you.

Because the idea that I embrace myself in a community comprised mostly of explicit material and that me wearing a tail is a symbol of something inappropriate was concerning.

But after that video, and reaffirmation from my friends, I feel more comfortable.
