My mom was the same way. Her smoking gave me asthma that still flares up from time to time.

Why would that matter?
The damage is/was done.
It affects people around you.
It makes your breath smell like an ash tray.
Most people thinks it smells horrible.
And even "Just smoking at parties" rarely ends well.
My siblings both used to do that, and now they smoke "at home" too.
It's not worth it. There are so many better just as pointless but less harmful things to waste money on.
It's not even considered cool anymore.

If we're on the effects of smoking train, my next door neighbor smoked so much she has to have an oxygen supplement/tank hooked up all the time. She still smokes anyway. My maternal grandfather also died from cancer that was exacerbated by smoking.

Honestly, we probably sound like fear-mongers :p But really I haven't smoked so I don't know what possible upsides it would have, if any. But I do know it's an expensive habit, is addictive, and over time can affect your organs, appearance, the house/furniture you live in, and/or the people around you. If you're an adult/legal age in your country, sure, it's your choice. But it's not really all it's cracked up to be is it?

Also, why bring it up and wiggle around the topic like you're trying to let us know about it? :p

All the time, it doesn't matter though. Just one smoke still does heavy damage to your body. If you do smoke Shiroku, I suggest that you stop before you regret it. This is coming from a friend, please stop.

Well it isn't a habit, I don't spend money on it, I really don't see how it can do any more damage than day to day things, or a hard job.

Smoking killed my granddad's wife (not my grandma), and it killed my other granddad (my dad's dad) along with alcohol. Don't smoke or drink. That's the best advice.

Well, most jobs don't introduce toxins or tar into your body(even in small amounts). Also, due to the nature of nicotine, it can become addictive if you are not careful.

And you are of age. It really can do some nasty things to an undeveloped mind.
Now smoking is bad. I don't smoke cigarettes, but I do take hits when with friends. Maybe.
