I feel absolutely terrible right now. I've never actually felt this bad.

I'm at the point of thinking about... you know... "ending it all" now, but I can't. Partly because I haven't completed any games I've played and I want to do that, partly because I don't want my last action to be a sin.

I just want to go home, not have another five weeks of this.

Why is it so much to ask? :(

Five weeks of nothing interesting. Aside from Furry Forums, this place is great.

Aye, the random thread is rather great! Alongside the other threads hanging around here and there, but I concur this one is the best!  :P

So, I heard folk around the forums like Pokémons, eh? Is this what you people like?

Oh, yeah! Mudkips are the best!  ;)

Seriously though, never watched too much Pokémon in my time, so my knowledge of the whole show is rather limited to say the least! I was more into Digimon when I was younger!  :P

I like Pokémon and still play the games and stuff.
I suck at battling tho, so I try to make up for my lack of skills in battle by hunting shinies insted. >->'
Been on a break from that tho as long dry streaks are quite maddening...

I do remember seeing this episode explaining the team rocket Meowth's backstory and how he came to talk and walk like humans did!

Was a rather sad episode and made me sympathise with him even more after that!

Heck, even those two team rocket goons were cast in a more likeable light that time around as good guys, instead of being the usual incompetent jerkbags they are!  XD

Yeah, that episode is really sad, but it's one of my favorites as it's centered around Team Rocket xP
I've kinda bought into the fan theory that Jessie and James actually -are- protecting the world from devastation by acting stupid and incompetent.
(TR's boss Giovanni funded the creation of Mewtwo who was ridiculously powerful and even killed people. They'd probably try doing something similar if they managed to capture and brainwash Ash's Pikachu because of how insanely overpowered it is. By constantly failing at capturing it but still being the best grunts in the team, they're actually saving the world from disaster by wasting TR's time, money and other resources. Perhaps they aren't as hopeless as we've been led to believe...)

Oooops, my inner nerd got out... >->'

In any case, it also made me think.
If a REGULAR Meowth can learn to walk and talk like a human, and even display intelligence comparable to humans.
What does that mean for all the other Pokémon? Are they able to do the same?
Are we actually enslaving highly-intelligent beings to force them into brutal fights like some sort of fighting animals?
SO MANY QUESTIONS!

Yeah, that's quite a good point! With their constant failings and other acts of stupidity, they've just undermined their own organization and wasted alot of their resources! TR is a real bunch of terrorists however and it's even a wonder how these two haven't been even caught by the authorities yet! Would be interesting to see if they should actually defect from TR to do something constructive with their time for change!

Imagine a scenario set in an alternate universe where people actually banned all kinds of fighting and collection of Pokémon for their private use as illegal fighting animals, and now instead live alongside Pokémon with them either roaming freely, or either as pets, or even loyal companions! Also, imagine the possibility of having Pokémon trained for all kinds of civil, police and sometimes even military use during times of war! I would seriously love to see Pokémon showed in such a different way!

If I owned pokemon, I wouldn't be using them to fight anyway. I probably wouldn't even use pokeballs.

I guess I'd just use good 'ol "muggle weaponry" to fend off any attacks by evil organisations...

Awesome pics, by the way, Polaris!

That reminds me, by the way... I actually beat pokemon emerald using only the 6 pokemon slots in your inventory! I just flat out refused to get any more than 6 pokemons, because I wasn't capable of carrying them all with me, and else it'd be locking them up, and that'd be cruel...

Seeing as James is actually a runaway filthy rich kid, I wonder if he hasn't paid off the police force so that they can keep doing what they're doing. Or then they are secretly just plain-out working together with the police, as there are episodes where you see other TR members getting arrested.

I love all those kinds of alternate universes where Pokémon are more than just fighting animals handed out to children. The usual premise of the regular pokemon games is actually kinda weird.
Like "Ohaidere, I heard you turned 10! Have a fire-breathing lizard and head out to explore the world!"
An official more mature version of Pokemon would be to die for, but I doubt it'll ever happen :/
They did however make these short YT-series called "Pokemon Origins" and "Pokemon Generations"
While not exactly a too different universe from the one in the regular anime, it's set in a universe where Ash doesn't exist, and the episodes are a lot more "graphic" (not really in the "blood and guts and gore"-sense, but you get to see TR kill Marowak and three pokemon die trapped inside a burning building) and serious than the regular anime.
Especially the Generations-series is well worth a watch if you ever find yourself with 5 minutes to kill that you dunno what to do with.

I confess I don't only have a hoarding-problem in Pokémon.
I also breed Pokémon en-masse, only to release them into the wild where they don't necessarily belong, or hand them out to random strangers without knowing what kind of trainer they are, in hopes of finding those rare precious shiny ones.
I also brutally fight hundreds upon hundreds of Pokémon in the wild where they don't necessarily get medical treatment for their wounds, leaving them vulnerable to predator attacks, for the same reason.
Pokémon so rare, they're reserved for royalty, according to the anime.
I have countless innocent lives on my paws.
I should be ashamed, but I'm probably too far gone to be saved.
I wasn't always like this.
But the thrill of the hunt is so addicting...

Hircine, father of manbeasts and huntsman of the Princes, I curse your name!

Oh, and for those of you who love war-themed Pokémon AUs, this place has a lot of cool stuff on that theme.

Lore wise, I don't think you really have to worry about the wild pokemon you "gank" being vurnable to predatory attacks, though. Now, I might be wrong, but I thought they all new where to get their mitts on those berries they use for healing themselves. Anyway, you seem to be the expert here, soo I dunno... :I

And, I guess that's why I'm not really a fan of pokemon... Because the game rather forces you to use your questionably acquired "friends" to "gank" countless of pokemon who belong to some random kids, probably also questionably acquired...

I did visit that 'ol lady in that town I forgot the name of, and she told me that all 6 of my pokemon loved the absolute hell out of me, soo I was really happy to hear that as lil' kiddo me! :P

And, err, I can't seem to find the contend in that link you flipped...

Pokémon eat Pokémon, so newly-deafeated and weak ones are probably extremely vurnerable even with the berries, as I'm sure the predatory 'mons know to lurk nearby as weakened pokemon are sure to pass by quite often...

The latest game was pretty good in this sense.
The Pokémon you catch all get to go hang out in an island paradise rather than being locked inside the PC for all eternity.
Seems like a pretty sweet deal to me.

And never let it be said I don't care about my Pokémon.
They love me so much, they sometimes manage to expel poison or heal burn wounds from their sheer devotion and adoration towards me.
They all get nicknames too, even if I don't plan on having them on my team, and I'll personally train each and every one until they evolve rather than capturing each separate evolutionary stage.
It's only the non-shiny hatched ones that get the short end of the stick... >->

And I'll never forget that one time precious Spitfire was my last 'mon alive in a battle.
He took a hit that'd have been sure to knock him out at a rather critical moment, but he hung on with 1HP left, because power of love. (Yeah, there is a new mechanic like that now, called affection. It's kinda like a more advanced and beneficial version of friendship. You also get to pet and wash/brush your Pokémon now. They really start to feel more "alive" thanks to that)
Because of that, I won, as that was my opponents last 'mon as well.

Attaboy<3

And, there should be a gallery-button on that page?
At least for me there is and there be all the stuff.
