Oh, and I doubt -any- bear would dare approach the loud noisy crowd that tend to be a school class on a trip xP Same with all other predators.

You doubt a bear, or any other predator would approach a lost & lonely 10 year old kid in the middle of the woods? 0-o

Never said that :P
All I said was that the chances of running into a bear if you are in group is really small because too much noise.

And if a kid were to get lost all, the search efforts would probably end up being even noisier, so the circumstances would have to be really unfortunate for a bear to find a kid before a rescue party does.
But then again, that partially depends on how quickly they noticed someone was missing. Still a lot of really bad luck would need to be involved tho.
The kid is a lot more likely to die from exposure than they are from wildlife in any case.

A teacher I had in the earlier elementary years used to head out and camp in the wild out in the middle of nowhere several times a year.
He never once mentioned any bears from what I recall, so that'd kinda suggest that you're a lot more likely to get hit by a car than you are to be mauled by a bear.
Can't even find any proper statistics about bear attacks here, that's how uncommon they are :P

Its actually really rare to run into a bear in the wild. A healthy bear without cubs will typically keep it's distance from you

I grew up in the woods for the most part and I've never seen one just walking around with the cows

Yeah, well, that's cool and all... But not as cool as wolves are...  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

Yeah, well, In all sincerity, I have really been shitposting way too much lately. I should just get my shit together, and be serious about stuff...

Because it's not not dangerous, right? I mean, shure, it probably depends on how deep your going, and how far up north, I guess? Because it gets more colder there?

I've heard a lot of people saying that the area is not to be underestimated, But I simply just don't have any forests near me, so I don't know whats underestimating...

What Kalan said.

Humans don't taste good and are likely to seem like the kind of meal that'd pose too much of a threat or require too much effort with all the flailing and shouting.
For example, there are plenty of videos on YT of cats chasing away bears.
While a bear could easily squash a cat, the cat has sharp dirty claws and teeth that are likely to cause infected wounds, even from smaller scrapes.
The bear is aware of this.
And because bears don't have access to health care, they tend to shy away from prey they think could hurt them.

Ticks, accidents, exposure, and other humans, I'd guess.

I guess exposure means, hypothermia/dehydration/malnutrition?

I mean, there's suffocation and hyperthermia too, but I guess those'd be pretty rare in Lapland...

(Although... I guess there's always drowing, if you get on thin ice... But I know how that works, since we do have ice in the NL as well!)

In Minnesota we have mosquitoes the size of airplanes...well ok maybe not but those things get huge here. I theorize enough could kill a person

I fell through the ice once snowmobiling and my buddy had to radio the ranger station to come get me with their snowcat

Yup, those things.

And seeing how violent some of the rivers can be up there, especially during spring, drowning could very well be a thing if someone decided to try and cross one without really knowing what they were doing.
Also a pretty rare occurrence, because that's just common sense.

And I forgot about the mosquitoes.
They're a lot bigger up north.
Perhaps not quite as large as airplanes, but they come in huge swarms.
