I dunno of they sell Moomin merc in the Netherlands...

But yeah, a piggybank would be a much better alternative to keeping 37 pounds stirling word of change in a WW2 munitions pouch I have for some reason...

The problem is that the bank now for some reason charges me six whole bucks for depositing cash wich I, to be honest, find kinda redicoulous...

Am I suspicious individual, if I beat pokemon emerald whilst blatantly refusing to own more than 6 pokemon, in the entire game?

And if those 6 pokemons weren't even good pokemons, but just pokemon that I liked?

Whatever makes you the most happy.

Five of the ones I used here are shinies (the freaky seal-creature-thing in the middle is not a shiny but everyone else is), which means thousands of pokemon were harmed in the building of my team.
They're not particularly good either, just pretty.

I lost a decent bit of interest in Pokemon. I still love the elemental creatures concept, but at some point Pokemon kinda became "over-done", in my opinion, I guess. Too much "WOW EPIC DIMENSIONAL TRANSFORMATION WOOBYWOO" and too little fantastical nature. I guess it wasn't necessarily meant to be the latter overall, but that's what made me stay a fan for so long.

I actually think I'm just buying and playing the games out of pure habit at this point.
Like, "I've done this for almost 20 years and I'll keep doing it for 20 more if I have to!"
Guess it's that wish to catch them all or whatever.
The games still entertain me, of course, but the "magic" was completely lost for me after Gen4.

I kinda wish they'd just stop once they hit 1000 or perhaps a more symbolic 1501 different pokemons and just work with what they have after that.
As in, they should make more PMD-games. >->

I almost always got the games as gifts. They were pretty much the only things I was interested in for Christmas, but I stopped requesting anything at all. I have at least one game of every gen except the most recent. Pokemon X was the only Pokemon game I bought myself, and it will most likely be my last. I've finished it and still pick it up now and again but get tired of it fast.
I can't get attached to most of the new Pokemon after Gen 4, which was the main thing that kept me getting them. I used to get emotionally attached to my Pokemon parties -- maybe that's weird -- but now I have trouble doing that. Even with the Pokemon I do really like.

I more or less missed out on Gen2, but aside from that, I've got one of the games from each generation.
Funny thing with Gen2 for me is that my sister had (probably unknowingly) bought a bootleg cartridge that had Pokemon Crystal, "Pokemon" Jade and "Pokemon" Diamond on it.
(The last two were those infamous badly-translated potty-mouthed Telefang games. Not that it really mattered much because I didn't know how to English at the time. In fact, I probably barely knew how to read in the first place.)
All games were playable, but the saves had a habit of getting corrupted and they all also liked to just freeze or glitch out at random, so I never managed to play through that.
Would be fun to try and find a working copy of those Telefang games someday since they're kinda interesting in their own weird way.

There also used to be a time where I'd feel guilty if I released a pokemon for any reason.
I only started feeling ok with that last year, but I still kinda like to be all "Okay, the pokemon I'm about to release are *whatever*-type. Where would they feel the most at home?", and then I'll move and release them there.
Now I suppose I should start to consider the environmental damages I'm causing by releasing hundreds of non-native species (born in captivity) into the wild, but at the same time, the only pokemon I've bred en massé are fossil ones (that are extinct) and starters (that seem to be painfully rare as they can't be found in the wild), so I feel like I'm doing the world a favour here.

I'd never even reach that stage.

I would firmly refuse to catch anything more than 6 pokemon, because I would feel guilty of knowing that I would either have to store some (AKA, abandon them, and leave them completely alone) or release them, after I had created a bond with them, wich is kind of a dick thing to do.

Soo, I just created an "elite" team of six pokemon that I liked, and trained them really well, so they massacred all the opposition the encountered in the story, without real effort.

I've had a period where I felt really bad for "killing" wild pokemon, but after a while I found out what the english word "faint" meant, and that they later just woke up, and chew berries to get better again.

Then I went and murdered team magma, and team aqua, and stuff...

The whole premise of the games is literally just virtual dog fighting no matter how you turn it.
Be it you have 6 pokemon or 600.

The latest games also confirm that wild pokemon you fight and beat up often don't make it.

Mfw.

But, yes. That's kinda the problem I had with it, too. Hence is why'd I'd spend most of my time growing berries, making candies, and doing errand stuff, instead of fighting.

And, what makes it so peculiar that everyone wants pokemon IRL, because fighting would be illegalised in pretty much all modern countries, anyways, soo you just end up with some weird looking animal.

Pokeballs would be helpfull af. though...

Imagine going to the supermarket with your dog, and instead of having to tie your beloved pet up to something like a bicycle rack, such that she can't run away, or protect herself when attacked by a bunch of hoodlums, you press a button on this one little ball, and instantaneously put her in a mini hotel, where you can safely carry her around in.
