"From what I saw on the Vault 101 security tapes... Ted used to be a good person, although he has always been one to resort to violence when trouble came around. I remember on their 10th birthday, the robot destroyed the cake and Butch tried to beat up the Lone Wanderer to get the sweetroll he got earlier, and Ted broke Butch's nose with a single punch to help his brother. Butch ran home crying, and avoided Ted for the rest of his life, until James left the Vault and hell broke loose. Butch's mother was being attacked by Radroaches, Tom and the Wanderer were somewhat reluctant to help, but Ted went running in to save her. Later, as Vault Security forces tried to stop the three of them from leaving, Tom and the Wanderer would shoot first, but Ted would do his best to incapacitate them, saying something like 'They're only doing their jobs, they don't deserve to die for that.' Then he knocked out the Overseer when the Wanderer failed to persuade him to hand over the key to his office and when Tom suggested to stab the Overseer in the back with a knife. When they left the Vault and came into the Wasteland... something changed about Ted, he became bitter, and killed anything that moved, except for other people, unless they attacked first. I assume at this time he took on a strong prejudice towards anything that wasn't Human, because it seemed like to him anything that wasn't Human was a monster. In the Wasteland that kind of thinking mostly true, so I can't really blame him for that, but when he came across Anthro people for the first time, he took a great liking to killing them, claiming that 'They cry and scream like people... but they aren't people.' ... Around this time he changed his last name to Vorurteil, started wearing this ghastly old pair of leather armor, and founded a gang of 'Raiders' that was dedicated to 'Fighting for Fellow Man, and fighting against EVERYTHING else.' Probably the only good things he ever did from then on was the Massacre of the Slavers in Paradise Falls and the Lincoln Memorial. Slavery soon became abolished in D.C. because they were so damn afraid of Ted. Then came Project Purity, when Eden gave Ted a vial of Modified FEV Virus, which was said to kill anything mutated. Ted constantly debated with himself over what should be done with the Modded FEV to save Mankind, then they got to the Jefferson Memorial... Ted used the Modded FEV and went into the Purifier, telling me, Tom, the Wanderer, and Sarah to stay out. He activated the Purifier, sacrificing himself for what he thought was the greater good. Two weeks later he woke up in the Citadel and witnessed the effects of the Modded FEV on the people of the Wasteland. He thought that only Super Mutants, Ghouls, Deathclaws, and other severe mutations would die out, but he soon learned that it killed pretty much everybody that drank the water, including himself. He took the fight to the Enclave, brutally gunning down anyone that got in his way and didn't rest for days until finally he blew up the Enclave Mobile Base, and for reasons I can't explain, the Citadel. I guess by now he just lost it, and a few days later he sent Raiders to destroy Megaton, Tenpenny Tower, and Rivet City. He invaded the Pitt and took over there, making it his new base to replace Evergreen Mills. The Lone Wanderer is nowhere to be found, and Ted now claims to be the Lone Wanderer himself. Ironically, Humanity fell further into chaos after all he did to try to save them. It really is tragic, if you think about it all."
