Does anyone have any ideas on how to convince my dad to let me go to another country? He has this odd fear that ALL citizens from other countries HATE Americans and will kill me once I step onto their land... O_o;;

well...other countries DO hate americans but not enough to attack...
depends on the country, I would suggest you tell him that we are at peace with (insert country name here) but you can buy a flag of that country and put it on your luggage. That's what I did in Canada and I got treated nicely.
