I can speak Google Translate, which is a bit like Serbian.

Translate helps but it always gets the grammar wrong

Inventing a language is hard. Especially when you keep losing your notes.

Amen to that. I tried it years ago for the "ancient language" of one of my old story settings. It was based off of symbols, but I never came up with the grammar or pronunciations, considering how little I actually knew about language back then. It pretty much just structured itself after English, which got pretty boring.

[NOPE] is mostly structured like English, though not exact. I've been swapping the grammar rules around like everything else. First started off like simplified, mixed-up Norwegian/English. Now it's more a combination of corrupted words from several common languages, which actually makes sense with the lore of the story.
