Agreed.  My characters almost always have green eyes.  I purposely didn't give Trixsie green eyes for fear of repeating myself.  Now ironically I wished I hadn't chose a warm spectrum colour as it doesn't differentiate from red fur well.

Hah, I actually did the same. Like, in most of my stories in the past, every male protagonist had green eyes and black hair. I stopped using those traits as much now. :P
