Omg I might actually get to go to AFC!
But I need help.
My friend lives w his Grama, and she believes that most of the con is going to be BDSM and fetish stuff. She is saying she might take us, but we won't be going to any of that. Sure I'm happy to go, but I can imagine being at the art show and there is some tasteful nudity, and she looks at it and says out loud, "see what I mean about s**ual stuff?" And everyone turning their heads, ruining a day at the con.

Naw, were both 15, and you have to be 16 to go on your own.
I'm looking to convince her that for the most part, any panel like "furry kinks" is just talking about the subject frankly, and to overlook it, in favor of the other majority of panels.
Because my friend and I are looking go go alone next year when we can, and that's not going to happen if she just thinks it's a fetish con.
She said she read some reviews for a furry con in some other state, from last year, and that it was a place where one could go and ask to get tied up, or for BDSM, or other variety of disturbing shit.

Well maybe you can convince her that there's a lot more to the fandom than that. Show her stuff like people fursuiting or some of the amazing art out there that isn't sexual at all.
