Yeah, if I had the space for it, I'd have a cat.
Cats are the best.

Death by adorable.
Can certainly think of worse ways to go. xP

But... But, cats are assholes! D:

When I was a kid, we had a cat that came from a farm in the family. Their behaviour tends to be a little more to the wildcat side...

That absulote nutbox would randomly attack us for no reason all the time...

It's written in the stars that my eventual inevitable fate is to become a crazy cat-lady.
I shall adopt all the cats to keep and adore forever.

Besides, all cats are different.

The floofball-cat we had when I was a kid was extremely patient.
One story I'll never live down that both my mom and grandma like to tell is how I once sat and bonked him on the head with a pot lid when I was a toddler.
Floof just sat there and took it without hurting me.
Floof never hurt us, because mom told him not to.
Once we got old enough to know better, mom did give him permission to strike back.
He did, as is to be expected, but he never grew mean or aggressive, despite especially me being (unintentionally/unknowingly) violent with him.
He was a crossbreed Norwegian forest/farm cat. And floofy. So very floofy.

Grandmas late cat never laid a claw upon anyone.
If she got upset, she'd just slap you with her paw and hiss.
Such a precious little lady.
She was a stray cat found on a cargo ship.
My stepmother adopted her and she lived with her father until he died a few years later, and then my grandparents took her in as my stepmom couldn't have her because of her job.

And the cat my grandparents had before that, was a white with black patches-floofball I don't really remember because I was so young at the time.
Her name was Piru-Liina. That could be translated to "She-devil" or something to that effect. I don't remember if she was particularly mean or anything.
But I do recall that she couldn't meow. She only hissed.

Then, I also had a friend who had a cat raised with dogs.
It'd run to the front door when someone came to visit, and wag its tail as a sign of happiness.

I've personally had way more negative experiences with dogs than I have with cats, but I still wouldn't call them assholes :P
I even almost got attacked by a dog of the universally-adored and can-do-nothing-wrong GSD-breed, when I was 3-4.
I was extremely afraid of dogs for most of my childhood thanks to that and still feel kinda uncomfortable around them, but I still wouldn't say dogs are assholes.
Not even GSDs.

Aww, noo... Attacked by a GSD... And I am a GSD! D': (Well, if I'm not busy being a tank, cause I have no AVA yet... :c )

But yes, trust me, GSD's are not a "can-do-nothing-wrong breed". They can do a lot wrong... But all of that depends on the owner who raised them.

I actually met a bad example of that... I should've took the old lady screaming and tugging the poor dog by his leash as a bad sign, but "ah well, he looked curious and friendly" I thought. Nope... As soon as he had "friendilly" sniffed my hand he violently jumped forward to bite it (vicious growls included) without any prior warning. I ain't no dummy, though. My hand sped out of there like a rocket, and he only managed to bump it with his teeth before it was gone... My guess is that he was neglected, and went crazy...

But, luckily, That's the only bad example of a GSD I've met so far!

I guess my favourite encounter was with a GSD who lived in a small post-office ran by a woman. Each morning when I'd walk to my old maritime school, in the harbour area, I'd stroll past the window where I saw the doggo lying down, looking outside. We'd often look at each other a little bit, and I often did some nice gestures like waving, or smiling.

One day, however, I was a little bit early, and walked by the little post-office just as the lady running it was unlocking the door. The dog saw me, and she instantly was like "HEEEY! IT'S YOU!" And happily jumped at me to play...

And, ofcourse, there are lots more GSD's and even some DSD's that are just complete sweethearts!

One of 'em was a GSD, called "wolf", (I later saw him again, and had a little talk with the owner) who kindly proved that male GSDs could be sweeties too. I first met him at a supermarket, while his owner was getting groceries, and couldn't help but petting him a little... :P

And then I can't forget about about the DSD who lives down the street. I occasionally run into her being walked, and she always approaches me, to try and playfully bite my hands, but in a really sorta calm way, that always surprises me...

Yep... I love dogs... In case you haven't noticed...

Spoiler for Hidden:
And, don't worry! I almost barely know any evil cats, when I compare it to all the friendly cats I've met on the streets! ;)

Yeah, I am well aware that not all GSDs are out to brutally maul me as soon as I turn my back on them.
I've also met a retired police GSD. Old goof must have decided he wanted to be a carpet, because every time I met him, he was just flopped and sleeping on the floor somewhere.

And don't get me started on the tiny ones.  Those ears are magical.

The german shepherds are just the most floofiest of floofs out there! I too love how they flop their ears around! Especially when they're being puppers! So adorable!  :D

Man... What I would give to have a piece of snuggly cloud like this...

I want one... Soooo fluffy... :o

Yes, they are nice clouds, I've been told.
My stepmom used to have one. ^^

Tho I guess this means Lord Sheogorath finally made real his threat of making people fall in love with clouds >->
Such a sneaky trickster...

Wait, you're saying they're hypoallergic as well, other than being a massive fluffy pile of joy and happiness?? I'm allergic usually to doggos and other furry creatures, but would get alright with hypoallergic animals, like siberian cats for example! Now I would really want a floof like that even more!  :D

Holy moly... Lord Sheogorath actually DID keep his promise and make us foolish mortals fall in love with clouds... Didn't just specify which kind of clouds really, but now we really see what he did mean by that!!  :o That sneaky daedric bugger...

Fact: They are cuddly. Snow peeps bred them to literally just be loving blankets of floof to keep the peeps warm, AND to pull sleds.
Plus, nice show dog.

Sadly they can be a bit pricy, since they're show dogs.  x_x  But yasss! Get one and I'd need to travel to see the floof though.
Note: They blow fur during a season. Like. Make a copy of your dog shedding. Needs alot of grooming!

I can imagine! Then I would no longer need a blanket to keep warm during winter nights with that kind of doggo around! Even though one might need some attention and grooming every now and then, but it would be worth it! :D

Anyhow, folks! Gonna hit the hay now, as I got work tomorrow! Thanks for the nice chats and see ya floofs and tanks tomorrow!  ;)

I shall leave you all with this gif of a doggo being freaked out by a piece of broccoli! Enjoy the evening, everyone!  ^_^
