... it's not weird to say that. I think.

Well, we are furries, we can't exactly get too much weirder, to be honest. XD

Oh, there's weirder people than furries, trust me...

There's people out there that watch a tv show filled with horrible fart jokes, and such, and then they go out on the streets, dressed as a picke, while screaming all sorts of gibberish, whilst at the same time claiming that you can only understand the humor of said tv show with a very high IQ...

There's also people who believe that the nazi's, and more specifically, the SS, or schutzstaffel, from WW2, had some good points, and that all jews, gipsies, LGTB'ers should be gassed, and exterminated... Myep, those exist as well...

+ countless other examples...

And then there's these guys...

OK... so... yeah, you can get weirder than furry.

In the meantime, inter-house singing preparation is going great.

Not quite. The ones that weren't good were mostly well away from me before I can do anything to make them regret their decisions.

I intend on going into medical research. Because I think that I will enjoy doing that after I finish A-Levels and University.

During our last two dyeing classes, we were experimenting with alternative methods of dyeing with natural indigo.
It's a bit more complicated than dyeing with most other things because of how it isn't soluble in water by default.
You need to get the oxygen out of the water first, which generally requires the use of harsh chemicals, or a rather tricky to figure out ratio of fructose and calcium hydroxide.
Supposedly it's a simple 1-2-3 ratio (1 part indigo, 2 parts sugar, 3 parts calcium hydroxide), but despite trying multiple times we still couldn't get it to work particularly well.

The Pokémon league, home to the strongest trainers, in the first Pokémon games, is on the Indigo plateau.
I know this dye thing is not what they were going for, but it kinda happened anyway, and I can't help but have a newfound appreciation for the name now.

Erhmmmm....

Don't you Kiiiiiiinda get a highly explosive element called "Hydrogen" when you remove the oxygen from water?

Coincidentally the very same hydrogen that did this to a 245 meters long airship?

Or am I thinking of the wrong "taking the oxygen out of water" now? :\

^Nice of you to offer, but I don't have DSII.

Yes, but no :P

If that were the case, the Baltic sea must be a disaster waiting to happen, with all the hypoxia that's happening there. (Or well, it IS kind of a disaster already, to be fair.)
Water -can- be without oxygen. Ever tossed a bunch of fish into a bucket of water only to find them all dead a little while later?
The water runs out of oxygen if there's too many of them, and the fish end up suffocating. Kinda the same stuff going on here.
Except that there's no fish consuming the oxygen.
Suppose a less confusing way to put it would be "reduce the amount of oxygen in the water, but whatever, everyone else also say it needs to be removed.

...Which actually gives me an idea.
What if we tried tossing a bunch of live fish into the pot a few hours before trying to create the dye vat?
Actually no.

Oh, you were just talking about the oxygen present in the water, not the oxygen being half of the water... >_>

That explain a lot... (Except why hypoxia is a collective term, and why the medical field apparantly decided that it wasn't a good idea to get an actual name for the affliction it causes)

Except for the bucket thing, though. When I was a little kiddo, on holiday with my parents, I used to spend a lot of time fishing with one of those little crossnets, and I threw everything I caught with it (wich sometimes included some more than 20cm long fish) in just any regulair bucket, and let them sit there for a while. Noone of them have ever died on me!

Well, except for the handfull of them I sold to a fisherman, to use as bait. I felt absolutely horrible for doing that, for days on end...

Oh, fragile children's hearts, ay?

Anyways, how are you doing? :P
