You do realise techno can be played by ANYONE, No skill is involved in it, all you have to do is press random keyboard keys and make sure its set to techno and its techno music

Actually I knew a guy who worked rather hard on his stuff, I mean it sounds like real instruments in some of it, but it's still techno. He would spend hours making songs in that program, which I can't remember at the moment.

Not true.
1. There needs to be a rhythm
2. Some solos in techno songs are so good/fast they must either be played in on a keyboard -and you have to be pretty darn good at keyboard to make it sound that good- or drawn into a music program which is extremely time consuming. I should know, I'm doing music technology as an A-Level.

Darn true. There is skill involved in every piece of music. Just because the way you play is different, doesn't mean it isn't a skill. I could say that your guitar playing lacks skill as it doesn't take as much effort as playing the clarinet (dunno whether that's true, I've never played guitar).

I really wish I could play drums. I lack the rhythm

I've been playing drums for around 5 years and I still always end up speeding up without meaning to xD (Unless of course I'm playing along to my iPod or a click track)

My hand-eye co-ordination is shot too, so I'm out of luck. Of course I could practice, but I prefer other ways of making music... *points to pen and paper*
