yea i know i need to get ready to sell the one i have off because nearly time to move hopfuly i can recover some amount of cash from it

intel 13 3220 2012 14 i believe

8GB of ram

2 hdds (mine and will go in new pc)

some ausus board

and psu is unknowen (dont think it would work on 120 volts)

funny if i were selling it to someone overseas that would pay 600 i could get depending on doller conversion at the time with the aus doller possibly over 1k

The OS itself is just a shell, and your files will still be recoverable; as should the OS.
I'd take it in asap for them to recover it if you have no access to any sort of recovery equipment/software yourself.

Did your school give it to you, or did someone from your family buy it?
If by 'school computer' you mean that the school gave it to you, then take it in and ask them for help. You'll likely get it done quicker.

puh it was a family hand-me-down. and it's useless now bc it's so old (which is bs imo) the tech's at the pc shop won't touch it unless I give them $300 and even then I might lose everything. so it's a goner.

OP Invest in a sata drive reader, back up all the files on the hdd, then reinstall Windows 7 over the hdd and copy files back over. Although, I am assuming you have access to another computer. Another thing you can do is use a friends computer and setup a live linux usb. Then just copy everything off of the harddrive reinstall W7.
