Becoming a bit discouraged.

Just as the title says. Its probably a bit stupid to say this, but I get jealous, alot. I am mainly/honestly jealous of other artist. I guess it is kinda stupid that i think about it now, but it just happens at random moments. I do try to practice and draw, and im currently trying to save up so i can get a Wacom Intous Tablet, but I dont understand how I can get jealous still. I guess in a way, i should apologize for it either way. But its hard to try to break that habit. I try my best to just ignore it, but Im probably creating something out of nothing.

It can be infuriating when something you really want to do is harder than you'd expect it to be.  I started up drawing, and it's proven to be much more time consuming and harder than I expected, and I didn't think that I was going to be a cake walk to begin with.  There really isn't much that can be said.  You just have to bunker down, learn and practice.  Just understand that you need to be devoted.

And let's face it, a lot of these people who were good at art spent years getting good.  Some may have even started as early as childhood.  So don't worry about how you are relative to the best, just worry about how you yourself are doing.  Instead of focusing on the negatives, focus on the positives; what are you doing right, and what can you do to further improve?
