My new 'sona absolutely needs clothes - she doesn't exactly have the longest 'fur' in the world so things need to be covered up.

Or unless they're my dragon fursona, who has fur in place of scales because she's an eastern dragon who lives in the arctic. xD

This is a very interesting Topic.

See IMO it depends on your fursonas world I suppose.

I typically like it when Fursonas are wearing Clothing. Sure there is the fact about the fur but like someone else it just seems more civilized.

My fursona does wear clothing, in his story everyone does. Is he comfortable in his fur, well yes. He doesn't have any problem when he is at home just taking the clothing off and letting himself air out.

Thing is everyone does have a preference I suppose

I suppose it depends, like many others have said too! My fursona is depicted with clothing, and that's mostly due to his more reserved nature. He's very calm, quiet, and polite, so dressing right and such is kind of natural for him.

However, if he weren't dressed, it wouldn't be an issue. Like, if someone walked in on him without clothes or a window suddenly opened (etc), chances are he'd be more surprised by the act, instead of the circumstance.

The whole 'fur' thing for most anthros seems to be the key, since clothing is the fur for humans. So it'd ultimately end up being up to each individual and/or their creator.

The way I see it, not wearing clothing is like a hairy man not wearing clothing because he has 'fur' Xp
I'm joking, depends on the creator

Most of my characters wear accessories but usually not full clothing. I do have some that wear both tops and bottoms though, so I guess it just depends on the design I make. I agree with what some of the posters say here though, like about digitigrade animals with pants / shoes. Pants just don't really fit right with digitigrade IMO, so if I had a digitigrade characters wearing any bottoms, it would probably just be shorts. With shoes, the only way I can really make them look normal on a digitigrade character is by making them toeless.

Mainly why most of my characters don't really wear full clothing though is because they are a bit more animal-like in terms of appearance. If I was to draw more human-like furries, I would probably give them clothes (because I find human-like furries without clothes is kind of weird). Also one time I did give Nyro pants for some reason and everyone hated it.
Yum!

My fursonas, Delta and Hunter, wear clothes. It gives them more of a human like appearance.

While working on a redesign of my fursona with my FurBFF, we ended up going clothes-less. I actually kind of like it better this way, but that could also be due to the wonderful new look.

My Fursona prefers to be naked, but her fur is fluffy enough to cover her genitalia anyways, so its not much of a problem
