Both clothed and unclothed is fine really, I just imagine that it would get pretty warm wearing too much clothes all the time. That being said I usually don't care for shoes and such on furs for whatever reason.

This makes a lot of sense to me. You can be clothed or unclothed when it's appropriate. I don't like shoes either on anthros. It looks a little funny to me.

Yeah, blech, I don't like plantigrade footwear being worn by characters that somehow otherwise have digitigrade leg structures. I have a sorta bias against plantigrade, or more specifically, Humanoid feet, though.

Furries: Clothes Or No Clothes?
« Reply #92 on: February 23, 2016, 06:13:01 AM »
Well if furries were real wouldn't it be the same? They would have uh, parts.. Like us, so yea they could have clothes. Or could use their fur, scales, feathers, ect, I guess the right word would be naked. But it wouldn't be wrong in any way, hell animals don't wear clothes.
It just depends but either is fine, I just don't like the fact of furries having the bodies of barbie dolls just doesn't feel right or make sense. However for artwork and such it's understandable...

True, true. From and art standpoint the design is up to the artist, but if anthros were real they would definitely wear clothes unless their was different from ours.

Clothes. Imagine if everyone walked around naked. There's things you just don't want to see, and I'm sure that applies to the furry world. :S

IMO things like Scorpions don't need clothes, mine doesn't anyway, it might vary though.

My sona doesn't need clothes because she is feral.

I say people can do what they want to do, as long as its SFW. But I think clothes are like an extension of their sona's personality. It showcases their style a lot more than a quick summary of their traits ever would.

irl, yeah, furs would need clothes. but I guess it's up to the artist/owner to determine whether they want their fursona to wear clothes or not.
for example, mustard was actually supposed to wear a denim dress with a black hoodie underneath, but I scrapped it because it looked odd and didn't go well with her medium build.

I like fur art with clothes. I dunno, it just looks neat to me, and like others were saying, it adds to their personality. I'll probably have Nori's fantasy clothing as an extension to her suit once I make it, the bat one won't really work because of the wings T_T

I don't mind it either way. I just prefer to draw them with clothes. My fursona is usually wearing her full outfit, but sometimes she'll wear a bit less.

I think it just depends on how they're drawn. If you have a more cartoonish art style, I think it's okay as long as it isn't NSFW.

But I don't really like the idea of furs running around naked all of the time, unless they are in the wild or have cool markings.

But since furries have a sense of self, it means they like to show off one way or another, either their sense of style or they boast what they were born with.
