That's why you have to tell them they're wrong. People don't like what they don't understand. So make sure that they do. But you shouldn't be worried. If they're really your friends then they won't care.

Yeah, but that's just mass media. As the real fandom shows itself, people will start to understand. It's like the Ebola "outbreak" in the states. There were only 45 cases total at the time, and only one person died - the guy that brought it. I wouldn't really call that an outbreak, but people lost their minds. Mass Media is a terrible thing. They have to tell the truth, but there's nothing saying they can't leave out details, so they go with the most shocking to keep up numbers.

If one person gets killed from a finger cut, they can say "A finger cut can kill you. 100% of reported cases have killed. Be aware of paper!" Technically true. Of one person, 100% of them died.

People will joke. My friends give me shit all the time, but I know they're just joking. Admitting it opened up questions so I can set them straight and explain it to them. Now even they have their own fursona pictures.

They're a fantasy/steampunk kind of book. I did steampunk in a reverse way - after the world is split, people forget our technology after thousands of years so they're in a fantasy style setting. But they have their own technology in the stone Jadefire and other new elements. Anyway, a fantasy setting where they find our technology, instead of essentially giving our technology to the past.

I do, actually, and I would be more than happy to do one for anyone that has an idea or just wants a fun story. My friend Dave had an idea for a world that he asked me to help him with, so we're going to turn it into a series for him. I always have ideas flying around in my head, so it's nice to put them to work and write here. Everything about TFF is amazing.
