The thread runners of the fur apartments (Evnamishko and Setcho) are currently seeing long terms of absence because they have lives outside the forums. While this is understandable, it seems appropriate that someone opens up the revamp in their place so that we can at least receive and give preliminary inspection of applications for characters (and possibly events). If the thread runners continue their leave for what I say is "too long" (I am by no means rushing them. They have a real life to run, and I'd rather they manage that before attending to the thread), I will start up the thread. In the event that they return and wish to make changes to how the thread will be run (rules, application setup, further application reviews, the premise etc.) I will happily make the changes and hand the thread over to them.

TL;DR Evna and Setcho are away, so I'm opening the thread to receive and review applications in their place. If they stay away for too long, I will open up the thread for posting.

That being said, thank you for reading this and feel free to continue further. Please also note, that a bug in the "modify message" page is disabling me from being able to properly edit the post (as in, I'm not able to see all the extra text options/emotes) so please put up with the extra "[/siize]"s for now.

The New Furry House! - A rebooting of the Fur Apartments

An old, abandoned mansion on the edge of Bludewortair (bl-ood-wore-tare) forest had recently been refurbished by an unknown contractor and opened up for use as a public housing unit. The same contractor has spread news far and wide of this home, advertising "infinite living space" and "no need for supplying of food and water." Most average furs didn't like the sound of the advertisements, assuming that what was said was too good to be true. Those that live above-average lives however... would know the truth. The ads also warned of "demons" and "magical mishaps" but everyone passed that off as mystical mumbo-jumbo. That left the mansion ripe for whoever believed the tales told. But would it really live up to what the contractor wrote about? Only time... and eye witness could tell...

Hi and welcome to the Fur House! To give you a run down, this is an action/slice of life roleplay which is great for newcomers looking to get a fresh start into roleplaying. For those who are veterans of the series, feel free to PM me and organise what bits of plot you want to have already established (such as connections with other characters). For those who are new, please, read on further to know how you can get in on the fun!

There isn't a grammar or spelling requirement placed, but I would like to lay down a couple of rules in this respect:

1. If you are roleplaying as more than one character, please distinguish their actions/speech with colour and paragraphing. It makes it much easier to follow who is doing/saying what.
2. Generally speaking, thought should be italicised and emphasis should be made with bolding or underlining. You by no means HAVE to use them, but it makes it easier for others to differentiate between thought/speech/emphasised speech.

Now for the proper rules.
-No god-modding. Powers will be carefully watched; anyone who grows too powerful will be either nerfed, or be asked to leave the RP.
-Max 3 Characters per person (Exceptions in special cases can be organised by PM)-ALL characters must be sent to one of the GMs and accepted before being allowed in.
-No “sensing” things you have not directly seen unless you are in close proximity
-Serious injuries (losing a limb) can not be healed instantly.
-Death is death. If you die, you will not be able to come back unless you state otherwise in OOC
-Pick fight locations accordingly. Tiffs are fine, but intense battles should be taken outside the building. If you want only certain characters involved, take it off the property.
- Big events must be OK'd by a GM before proceeding.

Build: Somewhat muscular.
General Clothing: Black suit attire, with a golden watch and a pair of gold Raybans. Wears a white shirt underneath. (OR you can provide a link to a reference of your fursona in general clothing) (OR you can provide a link/s to what your general clothing is)
Special markings: A somewhat thick scar on the left side of his neck.
Powers: Mind bending. A form of extreme mind reading, which allows him complete control over ones mind and body by extention. The draw back is, he can't use it on anyone besides himself unless he is making solid physical contact. If that contact is broken, it will also physically hurt Alka. Alka's body will also deteriorate if he uses his influence too much or for too long, as the power requires a lot of energy to use. Energy, which his body will eventually draw from self-cannibalised muscle and fat cells.


Alka also has a demonic form which can be brought out if he gets too angry. This form comes with a need to kill, a size increase, razor sharp teeth and a massively increased amount of strength as well as ignorance of pain. After using the form though, Alka will be completely out of energy and on the verge of death. Thanks to his personality however, he doesn't get angry very often (he's only used the form once before in his life).


Background:3-7: abused by dad, no friends8-12 :  no friends, got bullied lots, got into his first fight.13: found boyfriend, raped for kissing him in public soon after. This [permanently] disabled the use of his tail.14-18: Studied hard, discovered his eyes change colour, discovered his abilities relating to the mind18-26: Graduated high-school, got degree and masters in psychology, got degree in medicine [specialising in psychiatry].[/font]
[/size]27-28: 'Cured' depression in his home city, became famous for his actions, became a multi-millionaire, started work on project 'AI-1009', came to the fur house.

[/size]Room Decor: A fairly high standard bedroom with an en-suit and work table. Has many paintings on the walls, and a queen sized double bed.

The mansion itself comes with the following facilities:

• [/size]A full decked out, public kitchen which can't run out of supplies

• [/size]Two living rooms, both with flat screen TVs. Couches have space for 3 people to sit down on, and there are 3 couches per living room. There is also a table in there, in between all the couches.

• [/size]An outdoor court, which comes with markings and equipment for tennis, basketball and volleyball

• [/size]An outdoor recreational swimming pool

• [/size]A large garden (which is a small walk away from the mansion, but has a path leading from the mansion to it)

• [/size]A garage which can store up to 5 vehicles in it.

• [/size]A small enchanted library, in which the shelves have an infinite storage, and will always give you the book you want if you look long enough.

Hello!

Sorry for the late update, but I have some bad news.

Unfortunately, I may end up asking for the thread to be removed and for the series to be cancelled. The reason as to why this is, is because we aren't seeing enough applicants. As of the writing of this post, I only have 3 applications. While 3 would be a good start, I'd like to start with at least 5 people so that conversations don't get bland and repetitive, and end up being back and forth between two people. Feel free to invite friends to get in on this, as I am accepting applications still.


For those of you who are sharp in your reading, you would've noticed I said "I" instead of "We" in that last sentence above. This is because (as of my knowledge) both Setcho and Evna would not like to be GMs or Thread Runners. Evna has entrusted the thread to me (read below for the quote) and I will do my best to keep the thread going.

That's what we mean by those terms.

I should probably clear up what that was about. Basically, I've been keeping generally off the forums because I need to focus on real life, and entrusted a couple other people to get it started until I get back, and they all changed their minds. I felt it was too much BS for a simple RP thread, so I'm leaving it for Alka to GM.

With that being said Evna, In light of what Crest suggested, I'm opening up the thread for posting.

My role will simply be referred to as "a change of fate" or "mysterious happenings" or whatever you feel is appropriate. Basically, if something is causing issues (only to the point in which RPing is slowed to a halt), I feel it would help flow better if non-OOC action was taken. This action would be agreed upon by those involved in the issue and would help to allow posting to resume without too many uses of "Oooooooo, thiiiis neeeeveeer haaaapeeeened...." Of course, if people have an issue with this, I'll happily retcon this decision (well and truly, just makes my job easier )
