Ray shrugged. "Mayhaps I judge too quickly. I'm too familiar with the scum that traipse this wood." He sighed. "Well, now someone knows where we camped, so let's get moving."

Viola nodded, sheathing her dagger. "Lead the way," she said.

[Rayleonarde]

Ray nodded, and started off. Headed away from both towns, the young raccoon started towards a nearby mountain range, hoping to spy his master's tower.

Viola followed close behind, keeping an eye and ear out for any other opposition.

After a while, the trees and grass gave way to mountains and stone, the air was chilly, and snow fell gently to the ground. Ray looked around, and yawned.

Viola carefully rubbed her chest to keep her vitals warm. "H...How f-far are we now?" she asked.

[Rayleonarde]

Ray nodded, frost falling from his ears. He seemed even more gaunt than before, as his condition worsened. "Yes, we aren't too far." He turned, and smiled kindly at Viola. "Cold?"

[Cifero Windtail]

Viola nodded slowly. "T-this armor isn't really suited for mountain temperatures," she said, shivering a bit.

[Rayleonarde]

Ray suddenly took a knee, and patted the back of his armor. "Hop on, miss. It'll keep you warm." In fact, Ray's armor hadn't accumulated any snow at all, and seemed to radiate heat.

Carefully, Viola climbed onto Ray's back and held his shoulders. "Um.... how should I hold onto you?" she asked.

Ray bent forward slightly, giving Viola a flatter platform to rest on. "Anyway you see fit."

After a few seconds of thought, Viola quickly wrapped her legs around Ray's armor and hugged him in a way that did not restrict his breathing. Instantly, she began to feel warmer. "...All set," she said in a purring tone.

[Rayleonarde]

Ray chuckled, and walked on. He whistled quietly, as he looked around for the tower. After a few moments, the tower came into view. Thick clouds swirled around it's top, and lightning flashed around the cloud cover. Ray sighed, and spoke quietly. "We're here."

[Cifero Windtail]

Viola looked up at the tower from her position on Ray's back. Strangely enough, despite the warmth of Ray's armor, she felt her blood run cold. "Definitely a good place to stay if you want to be alone," she whispered back. "This is where that man lived?"

Ray nodded. "Yes. He lived alone, 'till he created me."
