A place to post good stories of telling people you are a furry
« on: February 21, 2016, 08:20:53 PM »
Almost everyone is worried about revealing their furriness, including myself. This is where you can post stories where the outcome was good for others to enjoy, pick up tips, and gain some courage to tell others.

I told one of my younger brothers (he is 15) only a couple minutes ago. Thankfully, he had never heard of furries before, he thought I was talking about little animals lol. We were able to talk a few minutes before I heard someone coming. He was accepting, but confused and wants to ask some questions, which we will do later. I will update.

Well, when I first told someone, I was in my older brothers room, just playing videogames with him, or watching some Youtube (I don't really remeber). Then I just randomly told him, that I was a furry, and he slowly turned his head towards me, with this huge frown on his face and staring eyes, like he was really weirded out. Then he muttered out: "Isn't that a sexual thing?" I basically just told him that it wasn't, and he's really accepting about it.

There was a point in my life where I was feeling pretty down about things in general, and as a result I had been drinking at the time. Anyways my roommate and I were talking one day and I just decided to tell him that I am furry, I have known him for a while up to this point so why not right? So kinda expecting the worst kind of reaction I told him and immediately he accepted, never thought it was weird or anything which was kinda nice. From there we both started telling each other things about each other and really opening up, this I credit as one of the big reasons I pulled myself back together from what was going on in my life as I finally felt I had someone in my life I could open up to and did so from there.
