Advice College

I know this sounds terribly newbie... But I don't really know how to get an answer for this question from the internet. So let's say I get accepted to a college. When do I say I'm actually go that specific college? (Or rather how?) Do I just call them up and say I want to go to their college and tell them they should be expecting me?
