Anna growled: "I realise that you wish to be careful with military stuff, but I don't even WANT a battleship. I'm not a warcaptain! Anyway, let's just get to somewhere safe."


(I'm not really sure how I should add to that, but what I mean with "which ions" is practically: Did they find Cl⁺, OH^-, Al²⁺, NO₃^- or CO₃^2-?Things like that.)

(I can't say I know much about what you're referencing. Long story. But I know that in most sci-fi universes, an Ion Trail is how ships traveling at Light Speed or faster are tracked. There never is any specifics beyond that. Sorry.)

An ion trail was a detectable byproduct created by starship sublight drives or ion drives. It could be tracked by sensors to determine the direction a ship had traveled. Ships that were equipped with a cloaking device were able to mask this trail, either by dissipating it or storing engine emissions to be released at a later point.
Ion trails are used in most space sci-fi genres to various effects. Star Wars ships can only locate a direction of travel, while Star Trek ships can sometimes identify a class of vessel or which race produced the vessel simply by the ion trail it produces.

"That really depends on you, doesn't it?" Makkar said as he stored the information. "Personally, I would highly advise you alert your homeland of our envoy - they'll be coming under escort. Again, I stress it's just a formality."

*** Indari Manor, Dragon'taan ***

Kyle walked around the corner and nearly bumped into Amie. "Whoa! Amie... you scared the bejesus outta me," Kyle said. "Something... wrong...? Who's your friend?" He asked, indicating the wolf.

Anna went alongside Fawn and began starting the mashed potatoes. "I'm gonna laugh if I suddenly find out I'm soon to be a grandma," she said to Fawn. "Drake and Amie have been contemplating it for a while."

*** Dragon'taan Orbit ***

The Unseen Assailant continued to hail the Klingon Vessel. Saraabi fiddled with her hands, waiting for an answer. If what she suspected was true... the Klingon ship would be a blessing, and also a sign of impending troubles.

*** Flagship Chimera, Approaching Belsavis ***

"I didn't say the planet was uninhabited... just the tropical rift we're headed for," Kyle said. "And that means there aren't any people there - that doesn't account for local wildlife. Flora and fauna. But... that structure, the one I saw in my vision..." Kyle sighed. "... I can't say what we'll find inside before we come to the chamber I saw - the one with the mark."

*** UNSC Allegiance, Uncharted System ***

"The Prophets betrayed the Sangheili, and the Sangheili broke away from the Covenant," Zuko said. "Thel can tell you the whole story - he orchestrated the Sangheili's independence," Zuko said.

"And speaking of dear uncle, are there any time constraints on when we must be on Sangheilios?" Luro asked.

Andrew shook his head. "None I am aware of, why?"

*** Tomahawk ***

"As we explained," Captain Dax said, "We're not sure how to classify ions like this. It's... well, we've never come across them before."

 The wolf looked  at Kyle, something familiar  in her eyes.

Blaine yawned and leaned back, rapping his knuckles on the table top. "Hopefully, some time soon." He said, closing his eyes and humming a song.

 Fawn grabbed a mallet and started pounding the meat until it was tender and pancaked, he then put it into a bowl of eggs and milk, soaked it, and then put it into the breadcrumbs to then put it on a pan, along with a few others he made already, "Well, the chances are quite large that you will be."

 Gypsie looked out a window to the vast space, "Thank you for taking me from that planet... I needed to get away from there... constant nightmares... consulting the spirits... it what kept me going forward...", her eyes popped open, "Uhh... I never turned off my cook fire back there on the planet!... well... I hope those trees aren't flammable..."

"Oh, yeah?" Anna asked. "What makes you think so?"

In the den, Kyle smiled and crossed his arms. "Amie... I may be a bit tired, but I'm not dumb. Amber, if you need something from me, no need to go full-clandestine to get to me." He looked directly at the wolf. "I know those eyes."

*** Flagship Chimera, Approaching Belsavis ***

"You are quite welcome," Kyle said. "I know what it's like to be like that. And you needn't worry about the cook fire you had going - I turned it off before we left. I made the mistake of leaving something like that on, once. Lucky I was able to contain the fire to the kitchen."

"Statement: If the fire had spread any further, he'd have had his *** chewed out by Gunny. Or so he says," Hector added.

*** UNSC Allegiance, Uncharted System ***

"Why do you ask?" Zuko asked his cousin.

"I think you might want to have a look at... my base of operations," Luro stated. "So you know what you're dealing with."

*** Dragon'taan Orbit ***

As the Unseen Assailant continued hailing the Vor'tu'ka, Saraabi tried a telepathic link with Krystal. Mother... we need to talk.

"Did you have someone specific in mind?" Markus asked over a private channel to Krystal.

Fawn continued to cook the schnitzel, it smelling absolutely wonderful, "Well, being as I am a doctor, having dabbled in every field of health related subjects, the forgetfulness and small degree of idiocy, forgive me, that I was told by Kyle and Mathayus, I figured that Mathayus ' wife is indeed pregnant!", he then burnt his finger, popping it into the left over bowl of blood and milk and egg, it being cold enough for the burn to settle down, "Ow..."

Gypsie giggled, "I almost burnt down a whole island once... well... erm... that'd a story for another day...", her body paint pulsed for a moment, despite the room being fairly lit.

The Toma-guards mumbled: "Hm... It couldn't have been a Gaian ship- those leave trails of radioactive beta-minus particles. In Warp-drive they also scatter alpha particles, but only in minor quantities. It couldn't have been our Steel Leviathan either- it leaves an instable EM trail that only becomes more instable in warp mode. Chances are it vanished before you could even pick it up and determine its direction. So, we're at loss. We do not know anything about the ion trails you're referring to. In fact, all we know about ion trails as you know them in your galaxy is what you just told us."

(Let's just say I was denied a proper education due to the inept and lazy nature of my teachers and the traumas inflicted on my by my tyrant ex-stepfather. Again, it's a long story.)

Captain Dax sighed, stroking his chin as though he had a beard. "I feared as much... the ion trail was consistent with a very large fleet entering light speed, but... how could a fleet that big just disappear like that?"

When the Faith jumped to Warp, the Romulan and ISC Escorts would also jump, forming escort positions around her all the way to New Romulus.

*** New Berlin ***

"Well, you may be in luck; Cerberus is due to visit the base here on New Berlin in the next few days. Wouldn't say what for - he never does," Benny said.

*** UNSC Allegiance, Uncharted System ***

Luro smiled and chuckled. "It's a long story. Suffice to say, if I was to take on a Star Forge, I was going to need a fleet. And if I was to resist it's terrible power, I would need to be trained in the ways of the Force."

*** Indari Manor, Dragon'taan ***

Anna went to Fawn's side. "You okay?" she asked.

"Anna, I can smell the food up here! What are you cooking?" Maria asked.

*** Flagship Chimera, Approaching Belsavis ***

"Oh. Ouch. That blows my fire accidents out of the water," Kyle said. "Still, we--"

"Alert," Gemini announced, "Approaching Belsavis. We'll be dropping out of FTL speed in five."

Kyle sighed. "We may want to gear up," he said, downing as much of his meal as he could and then gathering his equipment.

*** Draco City Government Enclave, Dragon'taan ***

"Well, I could not tell you off the top of my head - as I said earlier, he does a lot of traveling. But... wait..." Makkar paused, then directed a comment to the Enclave AI: "Orlen, is General Suleyk on or over Dragon'taan?"

"Affirmative, Ambassador," the AI responded. "General Suleyk just returned from Korriban. He is currently en route to the R&D Lab in the Military District."

Makkar scoffed. "And here I was thinking he'd seen the last of that dustball," he said. "I doubt he went there for the nostalgia. Regardless, Orlen, see if you can arrange for Shoon and his party to meet with the General - they have something to discuss with him."

"Affirmative, Ambassador. Mister Shoon, please head for the nearest taxi pad; a taxi will be waiting," Orlen requested.

 "It's a joke, dad" Amie replied "But i do have a serious question." She added "Why does drake not like to 'play' with his dragon form with me?"

 Amber shook her head indicating she had nothing to say to Kyle.

"Y'all are doing it again, talking about stuff I don't know," Blaine said, taking a drink. He looked around, hearing some soldiers arguing outside. Blaine looked back to the table and finished his drink.

*** Indari Manor, Dragon'taan ***

Fawn took his finger out and replaced his glove back on, pressing a button on it as it applied certain pressure to nerves, making the pain barely noticable, "ngh.. It's alright... not the first time this has happened..", he returned to cooking, being more careful now.

As he heard Maria, Fawn yelled back, "Hello, madam! I'm making Schnitzel, and Anna is making White milk, mashed potatoes!", he said with a chuckle.

*** Flagship Chimera, Approaching Belsavis ***

Gypsie looked down, "Yeah....", when she heard that they were almost there to the planet, she shot up, "Well, then lets go!", she was still bare.

"It's... because he doesn't want to hurt you in his dragon form," Kyle sighed. "He still retains a bit of apprehensiveness regarding that."

"Good! I'm hungry!" Maria called down as Mathayus walked out of the room.

"Never get between a pregnant lady and her meal..." he muttered.

*** Flagship Chimera, Belsavis Orbit ***

"You're awfully bold to head down there... naked," Kyle said as he gathered his effects. He checked the load of his M41-A, then slung it before clipping his lightsabers to his belt and finally donning his cloak.

*** UNSC Allegiance, Uncharted System ***

"So what do you say? Follow my fleet to Odessen?" Luro asked. Andrew looked at his computer, then at Luro.

"I have no objections. Zuko?"

"None. Blaine?" Zuko asked, looking to Blaine.
