The Silent Enemy

"As I said to Razuel and Tigress, I had contingencies of my own in the event that something like this would happen," Jason responded, heading for the mass of debris. "First thing is to get away from Virinat, so we'll start there." He worked the console as the shuttles entered the debris field. "Commander Priznat to the Chimera - stand by to disengage the cloaking device and open hangar bays; we have a lot of refugees here fleeing an alien attack."

Silence filled the cabin after Jason's command to the starship that seemed not to be there. Moments later, a ship shimmered and appeared:



Jason lead the shuttles toward the ship's aft quarter, where the hangar bays sat open. "Better hurry, commander," said a Romulan voice. "In about five minutes, more of those alien ships are going to arrive."

Jason frowned. "Why would they need reinforcements?" he mused as he piloted the ship for a landing in the hangar.

[Alessia Starfurr]

"Readings indicate that it's more Tal'Shiar." Said an unknown voice as another ship decloaked , the Borealis

 The ship that had launched the freighters, which were now heading back to the Borealis along with the last badly damaged one, lagging behind due to it's damaged engine.

"I think i feel a little more comfortable with the Borealis here." Tigress sighed with Releif.

After they cleared atmosphere Kavin wondered up to the cockpit,

"Hmm decent size, hows it hold up inna fight?"

[Alessia Starfurr]

"Which one?" Tigress asked , ears twitching around
"There's two destroyers..." Keri noted, her tail swishing curiously.

"Both, if this is an invasion then we are all gonna be fighting for our lives unless we leave soon."

"She'll run circles around a D'Derridex-class Warbird and punch holes in hulls with that Kadgeron Phaser Lotus array. Between that and her array of disruptor cannons, Plasmatic Biomatter beams, and Tetryon Disruptor beams, this ship can take down most threats, and is defended by a shield array of mixed tech shields salvaged from a few Borg ships and some Dragon'taan refits done by an engineer who owed me a favor, and a variant of Voyager's Ablative armor generators for tight situations," Jason explained as the shuttle landed. "The Chimera is home-away-from-home for me. Now the setup I had back on the home world, up there in the Jade Palace with mom and dad and all the others? That was awesome." It was as Jason spoke of home that the other shuttles landed, and the hangar doors began to close.

"I dunno the weapons on the Chimera class, but the Borealis has, 4 beam cannons,2 rail guns,2 Particle projetile cannons and a small docking bay to boot, it also has triple layered shielding, along with some of the best armor plating I could find. "I personally upgraded the ship." Tigress replied , though her pride seeming to drop as soon as she was done talking. "I hear the Chimera class is just as formidable, but... I'm really not a fan of the ugly saucers of the Federation designs." She finished."nonetheless they do sometimes make some good spacecraft.

The freighters docked with the Borealis, and it prepared to jump "Borealis to Chimera, whats our next destination? I think it might be a good idea to stick together." said the captain of the Borealis.


"Wait a minute, was that Engineer by any chance Quatermaster Arcnon?" Tigress asked.

"Sooooo....."

Kavin looks at everyone,

"Fight or Flight?"

"However that is assuming they're not running pulse cannons. I've heard of some plasma rounds that do not carry a physical mass, shields are designed for impact but they can be bypassed on a molecular level. I took Cybernetic Engineering in college for a few years." Zippo leaned on the captains chair and crossed one leg over the other.

He had changed his shirt for a clean white v-neck and strapped his matte black Sig-Saur on a black leather sling around him.

"Depends on the shield type, Zip." Tigress replied."Technology changes a lot."

"Then I should hope yours are up to date." He pulled off his helmet and set it aside letting his long blonde hair fall down to his shoulders.

"Do you know why Tigress a good soldier died many times on the battlefield?" Zip grabbed his hair and pulled it behind his ears.

[Razuel]

Razuel looked over at Zip, "Hey, Zip-ugh, c-could you help me up?"

Zip heard Razuel and moved over to him, grabbed his claw and helped him up "Thanks for the cover back there."

"Then I should hope yours are up to date." He pulled off his helmet and set it aside letting his long blonde hair fall down to his shoulders.

"Do you know why Tigress a good soldier died many times on the battlefield?" Zip grabbed his hair and pulled it behind his ears.

"Uhh could you re-phrase that?" Tigress asked.

"Y-yeah, no problem, Zip.", Razuel was now standing, and clutching his side, "Ugh... seems that they did shoot me...", Razuel lifted up his hand a bit to show Zip some blood.
