How Did You Get Here?

I've got a little problem that I think you guys can help with. I've been asked how I came to find this place and why I joined but, I can't for the life of me remember!

So this is where you come in: I want to know how you got here, why you came, and why you've stayed.

HOWEVER:

Don't be confused, I don't want to know how you came to the FANDOM, I want to know how you came to the FORUM! If you feel like you need to give some background then fine,  just remember the question.

Both stories remind me of my own, but I haven't reached that "aha" moment yet. Just keep telling your stories and maybe I'll figure it out. Good job guys!

Didn't fit in on either of the Finnish or the Swedish furry forums for various reasons, so I decided to try for some sort of middle ground by finding a international furry forum instead.


And unfortunately for all of you, this was the first one I stumbled upon.

I had been in the fandom for about week. I bought an iPod touch off craigslist just because it was a great price. It took me a couple days, but then I started searching for furry websites. Came across this one. I came because I'm 18 so I wanted to figure out who I am, dive into the newly found fandom, and figure out what exactly happened on a forum website (Internet access is heavily regulated at home).

Why did I stay? I LOVE it here. Being a furry is a part of me. And it is fun being able to communicate with other people, especially people who share a common interest with me. And I can finally escape from home and daily life here.

Not really sure, I think I was searching google for something (to be honest, can't remember what it was), two or 3 topics where similar to my search result - started to explore the forums, added it to my bookmarks (forgot where I saved the forum link).
Then kind of forgot about it for 2 months (before I joined), I searched through my old folder of bookmarks for another site I had saved bookmark refound the forums - decided to join (it's now one of my two main homepage tabs).
