New RP: Epic D&D Style Campaign (Audition Only)

Hello everyone! While I am new to the forum I am a long-experienced DM and am very interested in setting up an epic D&D-stylized campaign for a group of 5-6 to enjoy. There is no need for any knowledge of how D&D works or any tabletop RPG experience, simply the desire for quality RP and working with others in an epic campaign that will take you from end to end in a fantasy world. The story will be loosely based on the Hoard of the Dragon Queen story from D&D (if you are familiar with it, all I ask is that you do not Meta).


This is an audition-only RP, as I am capping the number at 6 qualified party members. I can start with as few as 4, but no more than 6. To apply, PM or reply the information I need below.


1) Character Info. This includes name, species, gender, age, physical description, and personality description. For personality, include things such as quirks, temperament, flaws, and any things you hold dear (ideals, etc..)
2) Party Role. This will be basically your profession,. Fighter, Priest, Ranger, Druid, Monk, Blacksmith, Bard, Alchemist, etc.... There is no list here, so just tell me what fits you best! I will work with you to create something that works, but all I ask is that you remember that as adventurers, being a pacifist is difficult as conflict is inevitable. I don't want a list of skills or weapons here, simply a role.
3) RP Character Introduction. This is important. I want you to send me a small paragraph introducing your character. The manner in which you do this is up to you and there is no wrong way. This is simply an RP quality check to make sure that you can contribute to the story and others are not pulling your weight. Length isn't important, but rather, that you can clearly convey your thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Regarding the setting, this is my fault as I actually had a much more elaborate write-up, but a browser fail caused me to lose all of it and in frustration I didn't apply it all. So without further ado, here are some answers to questions!

Setting: This will be a high-fantasy setting, based in Forgotten Realms so on the world of Faerun. I don't expect people to 100% be knowledgeable with the geography or world events, but I can assert as the DM as to what your character should and shouldn't know regarding specific events that might come up. I.e. no such thing as player ignorance in regards to past events, towns, or geography your character should be aware of. Magic is prevalent in the world, either granted by gods, granted by patrons (warlocks), innate to a character (sorcerer/bard), or learned (Wizard). Teleportation, resurrection, etc. are all fairly commonplace to those who have money.  This is also a furry-integrated world, in which the furry species are intermixed with the humanoid populace. I would prefer characters be furry of course

Style of play: This will NOT be a D&D game, but will feature D&D flavors as the story unfolds. You will "level up" persay based on your accomplishments and progression through the story. As you level up, you will become more proficient in your profession so as you interact with the environment and NPC's through your RP, you will find more favorable results, with a bit of randomness added in You will earn items and keep track of money, and have a simplified list of spells if you are magic users. But no statistics, saving throws, skill points, hit/damage dice, etc. Long story short: It will be 90% RP with 10% RPG elements.

I'm very interested in this, so without ado..
1) Character Info: Pheobe Petra, Plainstrider (giraffe-people), Female, 28. A tall, red-haired giraffe-lady. Covered with the typical markings of her people, and rather curvy. She is a very friendly (and occasionally flirty) individual, though a bit ditzy. She isn't known for her intelligence, but makes up for it in determination. She can be quite naive, and can be a bit of a klutz by times. When it comes to combat though, she is able to properly focus to be a formidable opponent.
2) Party Role: Monk
3) RP Character Introduction: After being trained in a monastery from a young age, she wound up leaving due to some.. relations with a fellow monk at the age of 25. In the time between then and now, she has been wandering the land of Faerun, going from village to village, seeking a group of friends with whom to adventure with.

tall, gaunt and soft spoken, she caries her attitude with her patron in to the rest of her life, tends to be silent unless addressed, but very active, completely regardless others boundaries, her patron is an arch-fey, and she is endowed by him with a degree of healing(pact is tome if that matters) care full not to hurt others unless absolutely necessary, she favors diplomacy to combat.

as a young girl alice was witness to the enslavement of her entire tribe, she spent years in slaved to a house of the far north, until the harpers conspired to over throw the house, she was stunned by the violence on both sides, and swore from that day on to never draw blood.
