Oh, I feel you. I worked as a volunteer at a con for some years in a row. (Stopped because of reasons I can PM if you're interested.) Anyways, I always tried to help newer members (get to their shift, explain what they should do during their shift, etc.) and guide any visitors to where they needed to be or ask any questions they might have had. Even when my shift was over, I still wore something most of the time to show I was a volunteer (and thus knew stuff) and people could feel free to ask me questions and such (the grounds was a maze, I can tell you that for sure
)
