UPDATE:Hello again! So the side/torso markings have been redesigned (the side markings on the picture below are out-of-date, so please ignore them, as other markings have taken its place). That problem is outta the way! Woo!
Here is the update:
Redesign Ventus However, she is not entirely done yet. If possible, I would still like to ask for help and ideas.
Something I noticed pretty early on, but wasn't bothered by, was the legs. The leg anatomy is what I've actually wanted for quite a while, however... Let's put it this way:
The whole body has simple -yet a variety- of markings, but then the legs. They barely have anything. It didn't bother me, yet I did think about it. It seemed a bit off. Then someone else pointed it out as well, and the thought grew and grew.
So this is my new question to anyone who would like to help/share ideas:
What can I add to the legs as markings or should I leave them as they are?OLD/ORIGINAL POST:Hey everyone
So I've been thinking for a long time how to design Ventus... differently. More... Ventus-y, more complex and yet simple at the same time?
Body type I have found out what I would like, changed already a few things. However, I need help with one area specifically.
The chest/torso (front) I need help with. Basically the chest-belly section.
As you can see here:
Reference sheet anthro Ventus (OLD-ish) and here:
Reference sheet feral Ventus (NEW-ish)that the (dark) red marking flows over the torso (front) area. It always felt a bit odd and maybe too simple for me.
So my question is:
What can I draw/put on the torso instead of just that red marking?I'm looking for other 'textures' (fur short/long, feathers, scales, leathery skin, etc.) to other types of markings, to whatever. Anything goes. Anything would help. Preferably references with what you suggest would help me greatly (:
Thank you in advance.
Note: I may or may not go for any of the suggestions, but any reply would be extremely helpful with regards to my problem. So please keep suggestions coming, even if they're silly or bland! It can help me to give me an idea - - -
