I'll actually draw a dragon version, and now that you've mentioned it, I do want to add scales and/or horns to that design.

It means a lot you said that it isn't like a common anthro, and therefore you're thinking outside of the box. The ideas surely help, keep them rolling, please ;3

I'll first have to colour the back-view (yes, I have that as well), and then I indeed intend to create a feral version. Ventus technically has two feral versions, a feral dragon version and a bunny version.
But the version I want to first work out is indeed the dragon one x3

I already know what body-type: Sleek, slender, and snake-y. Basically, an Eastern dragon type vibe

Going to turn the tail tip back from feathers to loads of fur floof. Why? Because WHY DID I EVER WANT FEATHERS AS A TAIL TIP? Seriously, a big floofy tail end seems kind of symbolic like a paint brush, no? Maybe the end design of her feral dragon form will have feathers at the tail tip, but the big floof at the end will never vanish!
So bringing back the floof!

So while I'm not showing an update by drawing, I've changed the tail end to a fur tip again. Feels much better
I am also thinking of removing the purple markings on the tail feathers though. But not entirely sure.
Anyone provide an opinion on that?

Kind of made an error in what I wrote, I see

The purple stripe markings on the tail feathers and the tail itself, if I should remove them?
I'm also thinking of removing the circle markings on the end of the tail feathers, or just making them only purple?

I dunno, I want to have something left on the tail feathers. I've always enjoyed the idea of there being like simple eye-markings on wings or tail feathers.

Personally I like the purple stripes on the tail, especially the ring on the tail near the feathers. As for the ring on the feathers itself, I have the idea it'd look better for me if it was done in one colour. Though, a ring with a gradient with opposite colours make it look a bit more... mysterious? I can't find a word for it, but it's something like that.

@Shoon: Which part don't you understand exactly?

@Michen: I am indeed very hesitant to remove the purple stripe markings, I feel something has to be there, and they seem to do the job and look nice.
So probably indeed change the rings on the tail feathers from two colours to one colour... yeah, sounds good. I will miss the orange though (and I understand the mysterious part, it has a rather distinctive feel/ambience to the two colours like so). I wanted to have purple and orange as new colour integrated in the design. Not sure if you happen to have any ideas what I can do with the orange?

I appreciate everyone's comments, talking about the subject, discussing the design, coming up with your own ideas. It's what I've needed, and it makes me feel awesome to see this happening.
That brings me to an update with the design.

I\m most likely going to remove the tail feathers in its entirety. The tail end will have floof (still need to show an updated version), and a few other small updated design-things! ^^

I should by now probably post pictures as a way to show progression. It's been a while since I updated this, but things have indeed been updated and changed.

I indeed removed any feathers. Besides having kind of a reptilian/beak shaped muzzle, there isn't really anything feathery-related. Unless you would take her wings into consideration, but that's for later, that part of the design.

Instead of tail feathers, I felt I needed to add a thing, so like glow-y antennae on head and pertruding from her neck and end of the tail.
So yup!

I am still thinking about adding potentially scales (besides their feral, full dragon form), but really unsure still.

Update time.
So I've been busy with designing and redesigning Ventus.
I've uploaded two attachments (so they'll get removed after a while, I assume, so stare at them while you can ) and one image link.

Major changes:
The uploaded image (the link one) is what I currently have. I changed the tail end back to a fluffy one and added other glowy appendices. Two on her head, two on her shoulders.
Also changed her eye colour.

However, thinking of it now, I decided to use a Dragon 'doll maker' by Wyndbain to get an idea how to fix a few problems of her design. E.g. her legs seemed to be 'less busy' than her arms.
There are also other issues I'm tackling with with her design, but that's something I'll keep a secret until I am closer to finishing the design o3o
