Amy turned to face the first new arrivals with a frown. "Who are you?" she asked. Looking to Shoon, she added, "And I already found a ride, apparently - but there's strength in numbers, if you want to tag along. As in, your ship escort this one." She paused, then added, "Or vice versa."
*** Jedi Temple, Council Chambers ***
As Luke and Raymus conversed, Vader entered the room.
"... the Code is there for a reason," Raymus argued. "It has guided Jedi down the path of light for generations."
"And I have no objection to that," Luke said. "Your beliefs are not in question here - your teaching methods are. When your teachings compel students to leave the order..."
"Since when have my teachings compelled students to leave the or--" Raymus started, but stopped, comprehension dawning. "... Amy. This is about Amy! She's leaving, isn't she?"
"Amy has felt that her destiny would be better served elsewhere, among our dragon allies," Vader told Raymus.
Luke handed Raymus Amy's Padawan braid. "For her good as well as your own... don't try to stop her," he told him. Raymus took the braid, paused, and wordlessly left the room.
"You know he's going to try to stop her," Vader said to Luke. "His arrogance and strict adherence to his beliefs will not let him do otherwise."
"At this point, father, it's out of our hands," Luke answered.
