Wish I had watched the movie.
If I were a furry, I'd go straight to a church (if they have any) to try to find help and a place to stay as I get my bearings and get set up. If not, I'd go to the nearest police officer and hope he doesn't laugh me off.
If I were a human, I'd hide anywhere until the night. Then find a cop.
