I miss RP! Anyone interested?

Hey! It's been a while since i've gotten to RP online at all. IRL it's been Vampire: TM and D&D once in a blue moon.

Anyway! I'm totally down for some good RP. I personally dig story driven plots. Action and that kind of thing are totally cool, barring overly violent and gory stuff. In particular, magic based/fantasy or tech based RP is wonderful as far as adventure themed RP goes.

I'm also happy with story based RP in a more 'normal' setting and theme as well. So I suppose just let me know if there's anything you're thinking, and we can see if we can make something work!

Cool! I'm kind of in the same boat. My brain is pretty fried after a convention (and a case of overheat/dehydration) so if you think of something you think would be cool, just lemme know!

Any thoughts on perhaps, a sort of industrial revolution era (so, sort of Steampunk, but with a VERY mild focus on the tech. Just having that kind of thing in the world, instead of it being all over the world) kind of deal? (think Legacy of Kain, but not all dark and horrific lol)

I was thinking of a city setting with old fashioned architecture, towers and such. Gas lamps and mild use of electricity.

Don't know if that'd be interesting to you, and if so what kind of focus the RP could have.

i can think of a steam punk world easly, but not on a story though.

I might be down for a steam punk rp. Im recovering from a rp dry spell due to work.

As for story I find the simplest of ideas works best with a goal that drives the story forward. Also something with a definit ending, or at least a break between plot lines to let more players on and players off the story when the need arises

Are you up for an action adventure setting? Or a casual world building setting?

A floating island city would be fun.

yeah it can work, again  i can make a exellent universe very quickly but story is what i need.

It all depends on what you all want to do or what character you want to play.

Myself I like stories where normal characters are thrust into dwngerous and non normal situations. Basically taking non adventurers and throwing them into an adventure.

Or.

We can make steam punk adventurers and throw them into a simple mission, like clearing dire rats out of the floating cities sewer and coming across a much more dangerous foe that threatens the whole city.

Or a clock work machine revolution xD


Once we decide the basic setting we could even take turns with different story lines

Woah! Sorry guys! I got caught up in messages, and then IRL stuff. 

Well, hoenstly anything is good with me. I'm generally pretty flexible and like working with what will make other folks happy. We could start a steam or psuedo-steam world and story.

Do we like action, intrigue, or something else as our preferred drive?

A world just starting to venture into steam punk might be interesting. My self im in the mood for a whimsical non magical steam punk story ( mcguffin endued powers and energies are just fine though)

I could go with both adventure and intrigue.
