would probably nibble at it, paw at it tew, maybe try to bury it
what to do with a lamp 
would probably 'eepz' loud when something came out and maybe run the other way

eepz, is afraid of that kind of heights!
so would close eyes and hold onto the rope very tight


WWYFD if you was playing by the beach and suddenly the water receded
(went back towards the ocean, leaving the ocean floor visible, sturdy high rise hotel near the beach)

They would probably tilt head not sure what was going on and try to follow to see where all the water was going, probably would think the ocean was draining or something.
