Someone claimed that my art is complete plagiarism

I have already blocked this second account, and have sent out a help ticket, but as far as I know, the code of conduct on furaffinity prevents me from going straight to an admin

Well, this seems to be a trend, but IVENVORRY IS BACK, and under a new alias because I blocked them on FA.


So, here's what had happened so far, I wake up and I was late for school, 2 steps out my bedroom and my stomach starts to feel upset, you can probably anticipate what happened, Anywho,  I called into the school and told them, and now I'm home and sick.


After having a warm bath to get myself tired again, I check my FA and there's IVENVORRY back with a new name,  Obama8MyChickens, and due to 2 raffle prizes that I did for a combined prize on the FALAH'S raffle that they do every now and then, this whole shit show is starting up again.




**censor**! Why won't this **censor** pick just leave me the **censor** alone!!!...   guys, I know that this sort of thing may seem repetitive but I am truly scared, and for the same reason...

Nothing to worry about just call the mods up again and wait for them to get back to you.

There is no need to worry. Just block the person and await the mods' reply

Stop worrying about this person/user and any future people that might do the same thing. They want you to worry. They absolutely have no power. Just keep that in mind.
Besides, you already contacted the admins before and it was filed as harassment.

Yeah... I'll try to calm down... I contacted the mods via help ticket, still no response yet from them, but I'll keep waiting.

If a week has passed, try to reply to the ticket or send it in again, stating you posted a ticket a week ago and have gotten no reply yet. It could be they're just extremely busy, or they have forgotten about it.
Keeping a week in mind to get a response I think is a good guideline

It's been a little while now and I haven't heard anything from this person again, and the same goes for the Mods as they haven't responded to my most recent help ticket... but I think the fires have died for now... hopefully nobody starts this whol shit show back up... Frankly, I'm enjoying the silence.

Oh no Seiden, quite the opposite.  But derivative work involving tracing must have permission from the original artist to be legitimate.  And in some cases (like Capcom) using their characters is considered fair game unless they have specifically requested an artist cease using their intellectual property.


Or at least that was my interpretation of the situation.

Oh, I thought he was taking art from other artists on FA, was tracing the art,  just changing colours and details to turn the art into another character, and then was selling the icons... If he is using authorised material, then it is fine indeed.

Yeah, the art I was tracing was of the monster icons from monster hunter, a game owned by Capcom, and what I had said to the person who was harrassing me was that I'm just a small artist, and the chance of me getting noticed by that company would be extremely small, but regardless of that, I talked to a friend of mine who studies law, and she said that this sort of this was fine(Me tracing, recolouring, and selling), and that I shouldn't run into any legal problems.

Don't quote me on this but, basically if you give proper reference to the artist or company they work for, and if they don't have any rules about tracing or have a cease and desist on you, then you're fine!

Legal is when the artist gives specific permission on the artwork you're tracing. (Check out the rules and such with regards to Creative Commons) Of course, I don't think there is a specific law or rule with regards to tracing (copying work without permission is illegal, however), but it's kind if you respect the artist to not trace unless they mention it specifically you're allowed to.
Basically: Don't be a jerk to artists
And you can always ask their permission. AND there are tons of pose references and the like anyways, so really there is no reason to trace without permission.
