Shady Streets

[Razuel]

Geoff glanced at his compass as he trudged along through the woods. His map was in one of the front pockets of his backpack but he didn't feel the need to stop and reach for it. Aside from a few trips to Crystalinz with his family, Geoff never went so far north from Rotzland, let alone walked there, but he knew where Peak Ulrith was -- can't really miss a massive mountain range straight in the north. The trouble was all the dense trees and hilly terrain that led you astray if lacking attention. If his memory served right, the city of Ulrith was near the northwest coast. He pondered if he should head there first or go straight to the Peak. He opted for the latter for now.
Focusing got difficult the longer the bear trekked; he found himself wandering in the wrong direction a few times and his vision was blurring. Time to set up camp and let the kid stretch out. Perfect timing as he was right by a creek.
He stopped beside it, gently set the bag down, and lifted Raz out with care in case he was sleeping. "hey, kiddo." he spoke quiet, setting him on the ground. "We're not there yet, it's time to get some rest..."

The sleeping bag was the soiled item, and thankfully only a tiny bit. He scrubbed out the soiled bit in the creek, making sure not to get the rest of the bag soaked, whipped it in air to help dry it, then laid it on a smooth area. As long as it didn't get too cold or rainy, he may not need to get the tent out. It might seem safer with one anyway, but the time it took to set it up and fold back could spell trouble in a pinch.

Raz was still shaking when Geoff lifted him out, himself smelling utterly awful from the smell of him soiling himself before.

When Geoff would lie down, Raz would try and cuddle up next to him, still being scared.


If Shoon was still watching the two, then he would see scales have fallen off around his joints from them being dislocated and relocated earlier, and along with multiple bruises and a few cuts.

It is now Night time. An almost pearl-like moon stood in the sky, lighting the world up below with it's gentle moonlight.

[The Past]

((I know, that's why I stopped.))

Geoff laid down with Raz, stroking his back. "You've had a tough time, huh... Is your throat okay?"

[Farewell]

Zaida looked down as she climbed the peak, everyone down below seemingly getting smaller as she got higher. The monstress eventually reached the top of the peak facing the entrance (Or however this crystal peak is?). She looked back down a bit skeptical until reaching her decision to enter.

[Lacar Lacrest]

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

((Sorry, I probably should've expanded on that; Crystal peak does indeed have an entrance. From the stairs, there is a door with walls either side, preventing people from going around the door. Apart from that, it's a completely open space, and on most sides you can jump off and just fly to wherever you want, should you have wings. Also, being a place of light, Zaida's darkness powers aren't going to be as effective. Not that Alka would challenge her to a fight or anything.))


Alka's body was glowing golden as he meditated. The light reflected off the crystals giving them all different colours as the light waves refracted. Upon hearing someone enter, Alka's eyes slowly opened. "Welcome to Crystal Peak, traveller. If you've climbed all the way up here, you're either fairly curious, or you've come to seek me." The wolf took a sharp exhalation, the gold aura fading from his body as he did, before standing. "How may I be of assistance?"

[Farewell]

(I'm aware, I don't OP with her power she's pretty limited.)

Zaida squinted from the amount of light, then rubbed her eyes before they adjusted. "Well I came her for marine, in hope to find razuel. However the only problem is, she's bound to the store and cannot leave not without your help." She finished.

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

Alka nodded. "What is binding her to the store? I'm assuming some form of curse." The wolf quickly stretched his wings out, knowing that he'll probably be flying to wherever he needs to go.

[Shoon]

Shoon saw lacrest getting close "State you business!", he prepared to strike.

[Lacar Lacrest]

"I'm looking for a young dragonling, he's hurt and needs medical attention"lacrest looked around him as he calmed down to span"he got scared and ran off, a bear that i was traveling with me saved him and ran off so I'm trying to find them"

[Farewell]

"Yes. The gods did, since she left the immortal plane. She's an angel." Zaida replied.

[Razuel]

Geoff laid down with Raz, stroking his back. "You've had a tough time, huh... Is your throat okay?"

Raz gave a wheezing cough and groaned, to which he shook his head.

Raz's breathing was getting worse, but could be unnoticeable due to how slow it worsening.

[The Past]

Geoff frowned with worry. "I'm sorry, bud. Stay strong... We'll head to Ulrith in the morning and get you help."
The exhausted bear's mind was spinning. He had no idea what to do. He still didn't have his wallet, so once again he had to rely on hope for a kindhearted citizen to give aid. They needed food, too. He was awfully hungry, and surely the kid was as well.
He had a haunting doubt he was handling this mission properly, that he was hurting the kid despite his good intention. But was he to let the blasted gang kidnap the kid? Was anyone else nearby more prepared?

Geoff reached a hand into his backpack pockets in case he had something left over. He fished out a few chocolate bars. People typically think of them as treats, but in moderation chocolate is quite helpful to keep strength up in survival situations, so he liked to keep some on hand. "Ooh, look what I got."
He broke half off one bar and snapped it into smaller pieces. "Here you go. Might be easier to let it melt in your mouth."

[Razuel]

Raz took one of the pieces and put it in his mouth, letting it melt.  The chocolate that ran down his throat seemed to soothe it, so he breathed better, his breathing not as raspy as before.

[The Past]

Geoff unhooked the canteen from his backpack. "You thirsty?"

[Dr. Alka Wolf]

Upon mention of 'The Gods' Alka's expressions hardened a little. "So, that's what we're dealing with... If the gods had imprissoned her, I'd assume it would be for a better reason that for the fact that she is an angel."
