Hey! Just checking in to say I am still here. I have been lurking and drawing a lot. Thank you for taking the time to share your characters and ideas with me. I am surprised by the response I got, and it has honestly been useful for sparking extra drawing energy in me. Thanks guys. Really.
.....
Due to my shyness and anxiety, I have never kept a gallery account anywhere. I am trying to force myself to do so now and get used to the internet. I only have a few files up so far, but I have more jpegs in the works. I can find very large sites somewhat lonely, and prefer small places like this forum (I am pleased I found a place like this really.) I am still figuring myself out online.
If you are interested and want to give me a watch on your website of choice, it would encourage me to post more frequently (makes the time feel more worth it.) (Also thanks for asking.)
My DeviantArt is Ibexien.
http://ibexien.deviantart.com/. Likely my main account.
My Tumblr is Antelocapra.
http://antelocapra.tumblr.com/. I think I will focus on "Flight Rising" stuff here atm.
I do not use Furaffinity at this time, but I have a name reserved there. It is Artiodactyl.
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/Artiodactyl. Also, I recently remembered Weasyl is a thing and went ahead and made an account there. If you like Weasyl, here u go
https://www.weasyl.com/~ibexien. I have never used the site before, but I like the layout.
As I mentioned, I prefer small sites like TFF. ...Should I make an "art gallery" thread here? Would that be of interest to anyone? While it would be more inspiring to me than only focusing on DA, I worry I am too quiet for a forum community. ( I haven't much to say. But when I do, I type a lot.)
....
And finally! some replies.
Sorry, I don't have any drawings for you yet, but I am working on stuff. (Making art takes
forever.)
@Vincent Sliver
What a description - Unique and detailed. I tried working on a riding scene, but I ended up just drawing a bunch of big birds ...if anyone wants to see that. ><
@Cheza
I am trying not to pick favourites, but this guy is right up my alley (crocs and dinos!) I haven't been happy with my sketches though, and ended up doing two things. ... Btw, is he wearing a skirt? because of his tail?? Just, I never see that and I appreciate the idea.
@Zaida
The description of the nightmare form struck me. I got a sketch done, but then felt I couldn't move on until I knew more about some anatomical details - like the horns (?), fur, lips, and teeth. You seem to be into canines, so I went in that direction for now. WiP here v
@John Red Beard
I find cats intimidating. I seem to only be able to draw a good feline once a year. I worry I wouldn't do your characters justice. I have been practicing though!
I am interested in this alternative kraken. I was trying to find more info on the myth, but the internet is bogged down with the cephalopod type. I have yet to try drawing a "kraken" for fear of finding my creativity lacking, but I think I need to just sit down and try it already. (Ocean creatures are awesome.)
@ZielZorix @Shoon
I started some digital sketches to get myself accustomed to Photoshop again. I then remembered why I don't draw directly on the computer.
But it is too late in the process to turn back now. Stay tuned.
@Nori
Hello! I would gladly take you up on a trade - thank you for offering.
All of my characters are equine-antelope things, if you're comfortable with that. You can draw them in whatever style you feel like. ... However, I will have to get back to you later about my character references, as I don't have much scanned.
The nature scene you described for Nori is pleasant and I already have an idea I will try to draw.
Peeking at your FA, I enjoy the portrait you did of Winnona the dinosaur. It has a vibrant fun look, with the bright colours and expression. S'cute.
(Random aside - Your profile says you ride horses. I'm stuck in the city and jealiz.)...
Aaaand that's all for now. Thank you and G'night!
(ps, I love the custom smilies here)
