Trump won. Reaction?

Personally, the first day I was outraged and wanted to do this and do that and cause a fuss. But it really didn't seem worth it a few days later. Politics suck.

Absolutely nothing will happen, is my reaction. For the 14 people that hate this result, at least it matches up with the currently "shared" popular vote results meant to put some aloe vera on the anger.

I was honestly expecting the results on the forum to be more like 3 For, 23 Against, 2 Other

If it's any consolation, I would have voted for Bernie Sanders if the DNC hadn't decided to betray their own voters. This is the result that democrats deserve, honestly.

To be fair I had my year of politics: Socialists in Belgium getting BTFO'd, Brexit happening and now Trump. Things can't get any better

I was a diehard Bernie supporter as well, and would have voted for him in a heartbeat if the DNC hadn't decided to screw him over and try and maintain politics as usual.

I fully expect him to run again in 2020 possibly even Elizabeth Warren as well.

Also, Ron Perlman announced he is running in 2020.

I sure hope Bernie runs again, we seriously need someone like him. Problem is if he would really want to. Barely anyone pays attention to independents, and I doubt he'd want to have another go with the DNC after the shit they did to him. If I remember correctly, the only reason he moved to the Democrats was because that was the only way to have a chance with this dung pile of a party system.

I'm affraid the Democrats have suffered too much damage now.
They lost majority of the governors, congress and soon to follow: the supreme court

Basically they would have to re-invent themselves but for now the democrats have the image of being the representatives of greed, corruption and betrayal

He has said that he won't rule out running again, but I think in 2020 we will see Elizabeth Warren make a bid for the White House.

I think Trump is an idiot.  But politics is a funny business and I think some good can come from him.  If nothing else I think career politicians needed to hear the message "people are sick of politicians".


I'm not a big fan of Popes either, but if you want to get a calendar changed a Pope is the best choice historically, and sometimes calendars need changing. So I'm being optimistic.

The issue now is this: there has been such a dirty campaign from the democrats against Trump that said democrats are now getting stuck in the hysteria they were creating.

My reaction: Atleast we avoided world war 3. People in my home country are speculating that russia might invaid (this is due to trumps opinion on Nato) which kinda sucks if it happens. But on the other hand, having hillary in power, no fly zone syria, blaming russia for wiki leaks with threat to use physical attacks on  them if it happens again (even though she has no evidence that they actually did it which i think they don't but instead was another whistle blower gone anon)
i kinda like this outcome more.
Then what will happen to america, i think we are in for a quite intressting 4 years.

This is like adding hitler to the hall of presidents for some, got to say, this gives me a good laugh

Like adding Hitler -- although he hasn't even done anything of the sort yet. I get being worried about him (he's making me a bit nervous as well, but not to "Hitler" level, christ.), but acting like he's ALREADY Hitler is far too much. I'm certain we have enough checks to prevent that shit, even with republicans taking up the majority in branches. I'm certain they'd be far from okay with holocaust-esque actions, and the populace at large can't be stupid enough to let that shit fly anyway, after Hitler became the example.

I know that was a joke, by the way, but it really does piss me off that others LEGITIMATELY think he's Hitler already. If anything, they should judge him for the shit he's actually done now. There's plenty to pick at without exaggerating to hell.
