How to upload pictures

Hello, I wanted to upload some of my profile pictures for my profile, but when I wanted to add a picture, all I could add was an image folder.


Is there a way to fix this or is there an alternative way to upload pictures other than my avatar?

The square with the plus creates a new folder for you to sort pictures with. To actually put a picture on your account you need to click on the text "Add picture". It can be very confusing in the beginning.

This is exactly correct, I admit it's not a very intuitive design

I do want to add I used to think these attachments would stay on the forums, but they get removed after a while.
Perhaps it would be nice to mention that clearly somewhere?

I know I lost a bunch of pictures in my personal journal (for example) in the beginning when I wanted to share things from my holidays and experiences and would upload pictures as attachments.

Do you mean post attachments? This is for pictures on your ultimate forum profile, as far as I know these are meant to stay for ever

You are correct, Anoni. I was talking about attachments. 

UHM. I suppose I should make a separate thread about this matter? ^^;
